When that starts happening (it tends to happen more in the winter when my hands are dry), I stick a little piece of medical tape (you know--the stuff that holds a big bandage on) cut to size, right over the hole. You are moving along nicely. So sorry to hear about your finger! Have you ever used those things called &quot;Thimble it&quot;? It&#39;s like a hard little sticker that you can stick on the tip of your finger. I use them a lot for binding quilts. It helps to avoid the nasty hole that develops in the finger. There is nothing worse!
