Remember how I said I just wanted to buy more and more canvas work designs, but I could not because I had to stick to my budget? Well, my clicky finger did not listen to my brain. It had a mind of it's own! My justification was that I have birthday coming up. Actually it's still about 1 1/2 months away. The first one I got was "Rambling Rose" by Laura J. Perin. I did not come up with these colors on my own. I have ashamedly copied Coni's sister Chrissy. I fell in love with the colors she used for this design! They are so pretty!
The next one is "Summer Days" also by Laura J. Perin. The colors are the original colors used in the design.
I have been stitching some too. I got a little bit more stitched on my "Seasons of Change Row."
And I got a little bit more stitched on my Madeira Tin Project.

Help Me Decide!
I have been stitching along on Celtic Autumn. I'm really enjoying it - especially now that I'm past all those swirls! My only problem is I can't decide to make part of the dress white or gold. Here's a link to Andrea's, which is the conversion I'm using and Lisa's (she's using the gold). They are both beautiful. I have already started stitching the white, so I may end up going with that. But I do like the gold too. Lisa was kind enough to give me her conversion. What do you all think?? Here is my progress as of yesterday...
I also worked on my "Amish Trip Around the World" canvas work piece a little bit last night. This was something good for me to work on last night when I was a little tired, but still wanted to stitch.

Grandma's Flower Garden Finished!
I finished my first canvas work design by Laura J. Perin! It was such a fun stitch. I highly recommend these designs for anyone who wants to stitch, but doesn't want to hassle with magnifiers and lights. The holes are so easy to see and the patterns are very easy to follow. Anyway, here's my pic...

Laura J. Perin Designs "Grandma's Flower Garden" Freebie
Fabric: 18 ct. White Mono Canvas by Zwiegart
Threads: Caron Watercolours and DMC Pearl Cotton
Started: 9/3/08 - Finished: 9/7/08
I started my class project the other day. I'm hoping to have enough progress for a pic tomorrow. It's hard to go from nice, easy canvas work, to over one on 32 ct.! :) Write later!

This and That and Rain
Well, my dh has gone out of town, so his side is the bed is filled with stitching stuff. I have canvas work, cross stitch and knitting! I have been working on a little bit of everything today!
I finished up a sock yesterday - it fits perfect and I love it! I'm anxious to get started on the second one now.
It looks huge, but it's really not. It's just the angle in which the picture was taken.
I have also been working on another canvas work piece. This is a freebie by Laura J. Perin called "Grandma's Flower Garden." Which you can find here (scroll down).
I'm not too far away from being finished. I like these little designs they are so quick and easy and fun! Thank you all for your very kind comments on my other canvas work - "Hide & Seek." You have inspired me to keep at it! :)
I have also rejoined the Celtic Lady SAL. I got Celtic Autumn back out and stitched on her just a bit tonight. I know I really should be finishing up my neighborhood, but I think I'm feeling a little anxious about Hanna. Although all we've had so far is rain - no wind. Hopefully it stays that way.

Hello Again!
Well, I did not get my neighborhood finished. I stopped by my LNS in Florida to pick up the latest Loose Feather. While I was there I decided to browse through the canvas work patterns and saw this funky one (Hide & Seek) by Laura J. Perin. I decided to get it and the threads and canvas for it. I started it right away. I'm still not sure about the colors, they really are not me, but I can't stop stitching it! :)
I'm so addicted to canvas work lately - I want to buy more and more, but I can't! I'm on a budget! And Ineed to have to stick to it! Anyway, nothing else going on. I've got lots of water and Pop Tarts just in case Hanna decides to come near us (it looks like it's going North of us)! Write later!

Up Early
Matthew woke up so early today (around 5 am). I'm not sure why he would do that?? Anyway, I couldn't go back to sleep, mainly because he didn't go back to sleep until just now. So I decided to take some pictures....
I couldn't resist putting in a few stitches in my new canvas work piece! I love it, but I thought I'd better finish my other one before starting a new one...
I just have one more outside border to complete and I'll be done with this one. The colors are definitely funky, and not something I'd normally choose, but they're fun to work with.
I also got my "icing-like" trims yesterday. I couldn't decide between white or cream though. I'll bring both and make Amy decide! :) Here's the cream....
And here's the white...
I think I may be leaning towards the white because it is "icing-like." It matches the beads and there's more of a contrast. I'm sure Amy will know. :) Write later!

A Little More Canvas Work...
Thank you to everyone for your kind comments yesterday! I got a little bit more stitched on "Spring Fling." Canvas Work has been very addictive for me so far. I can't seem to put it down! Although, I did put it down for a bit to stitch two more chocolates on "Chocolate Box." :)
Veronica asked about the scroll frame. It's an EZ Stitch Scroll Frame. I got a set of them at Michael's (using my 40% off coupon of course!). :)

Chocolate Box and Something Different....
I have three chocolates stitched so far on Chocolate Box. Just six more and I'll be ready for the finishing on Saturday at Amy's! :)
The fabric I'm using is 30 ct. Alabaster by R&R.
And now for the something different - I have decided to try Canvas Work. I found a couple freebie's online by Laura J. Perin Designs. Here is my first attempt...
I messed up on the little squares. They are supposed to be bigger. Oh well, I'm thinking of making it into a fob. Here's my second attempt...

So Far I have not messed this one up, which is a good thing. I'm enjoying Canvas Work. It's fun and definitely different than cross stitch, but there are still some similarities with it. It's still counted work. Well, not much else! I'd better get back to my Chocolate Box! Write later! :)
