Framing

I decided to do some framing today. I went to A.C. Moore and they had unfinished wood frames for 40% off. I got some craft paint in a dark charcoal gray - almost black, but not quite. I painted one frame for Christmas Tea. I think it turned out pretty well...

I sanded the edges a little bit to give it a distressed look. I also framed a couple of Shepherd's Bush pieces that I've had in the tub for awhile...

The bigger one is "French Heart" and the smaller is "Busy Sheep." Well, nothing else going on. I would like to get a couple more things framed, but have to get more foam core. I can't sew in a straight line and I can't cut foam core in a straight line either! I need help! Write later!

Christmas Tea Finished!

I got this finished up last night. I'm so happy to have it done! I think I may go get some foam core board today and get framed. I'm really in a finishing mood lately!

Now I'm trying to decide what to stitch now... Peppermint Lane, Santa Wants to Know or a Bit of December? Go to my LNS and find something new? :) Nah, I'd better not! Better stick with something I have here. Write soon!

Stitching and More Sewing

I must say first off - I love my new magnifying light. I don't know what I have done all these years without it! I have been stitching on 40 ct. like it's 32. This is the best present to myself ever! :) Anyway, enough about that. I have been stitching "Christmas Tea" by Plum Street Samplers. I'm really enjoying it! I just have to finish the lettering and some snowflakes and I'll be done. It's taken much less time then I thought it would. I think it's mainly because of the light! :)

I decided to take Carol's advice about pulling a thread for a guide while sewing. So I got out my Stacy Nash Pillow to experiment on. I think it turned out pretty cute. It's not perfect, but it's better, which is progress for me.

Well, I'd better go clean up my mess! Write soon! :)

Another Tiny Finish and Christmas Stitching

I finished up my Nov. Flip-it Bit today...

LIzzie Kate "A Bit of November"

Now that all my fall stitching is done I have been getting my Christmas stitching in order. I have quite a few projects I'd like to get finished before then. I figure if I devote a week or less to each one then I think I can do it! First, I'd like to get my Flip-It Bit banner finished by getting "A bit of December" stitched.

A Bit of December Chart and Threads

Next I would like to finished up my other Lizzie Kate Project "Christmas is Forever."

I would also like to finish CCN "Peppermint Lane." Oops! I forgot to post that I had started this last month too. I went through a little closet startitis phase. :)

CCN Peppermint Lane

I'm stitching it on 32 ct. Maple Sugar. I only stitched a little bit and then thought I would put it away until Dec. I would also like to stitch this little freebie ornament by Blue Ribbon Designs called "A Star on Top."

Last, but not least, if I have time after all this I would like stitch "Christmas Tea" by Plum Street Samplers. I was going to stitch it last year, but ran out of time.

Do you think I can do it?? Maybe?? Write soon!
