More Works in Progress

Wow!  Three posts in three days!  I haven't done that in a long time.  I thought I'd share a few more things that I've been working on a lately.

I got a little bit more done on Frances Pool.  I'm done with the bottom part of the sampler now...

Next, I finished up the dog in the middle of Charlotte Clayton.  I keep putting this one down because of all the color changes.  I will get back to it soon though!

Last is Dorothy Walpole.  I got some of the eyelet stitches done above the bargello.  I definitely want to get back to this one soon too.

I hope you all have a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend!

Two Samplers

I have been working on two samplers this week.

Dorothy and Frances

Dorothy Walpole and Frances Pool.

Dorothy Walpole as of 2/8/13

Dorothy is bright and a little wild.

With Thy Needle & Thread Frances Pool

Frances is soft and a little subdued.

I love them both.  :)

Under Contract!

We came to an agreement on the house.  So if everything goes okay we'll be homeowners at the end of February!  We're so excited to get moved in - it's not far from here, so the boys will continue to go to the same schools.  That was the most important thing for us when we were looking.  We figured if we couldn't be in Florida then we wanted the boys to keep going to the same schools.  Once everything is finalized I will share some pictures.

To keep my mind off the house, I decided to start Frances Pool.  I really love it so far!

I have another project I'm going to start with my husband soon.  We have an old kitchen table and chairs that we plan to paint black.  I found this blog that has great instructions.  I hope ours come out as nice as her table and chairs did.  It will definitely save a lot of money and I think will look nice in our new house.  I have also been pouring over paint samples.  I'm leaning towards Behr Wheat Bread or Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter for the dining room and kitchen.

Well, I said I was going to post and stitch more in the New Year and that really hasn't happened.  Things have been kinda stressful around here because we've been house hunting.  We found one that would be perfect for us - it has a great yard for the boys and lots of room inside.  We are negotiating for it right now, so my stomach is in knots!

I have been stitching a little.  I worked on Charlotte Clayton (sorry for the bad picture)...

I also got Ruth Bacheler by The Scarlet Letter back out...

I got a new pattern in the mail today too!  It's Frances Pool by With Thy Needle & Thread.

I was thinking of stitching it on 40 ct. Lt. Examplar.  I think it's such a pretty sampler!

Well, if everything works out with the house, we'll be closing at the end of next month!  It will be here in no time - I have to start thinking about getting everything packed again!
