Huge Mistake!!

As I was stitching Frances Eden last night, I noticed that it looked like I was running out of fabric. Sure enough, I had started on the wrong side of the fabric! I was so mad at myself! I ended up just cutting the stitched part off because there was no way I was going to be able to rip it all out. Here's where I left off...

Frances Eden Oops!

I thought it was pretty funny that the only words I stitched were "thy work is done." I thought, "Yep, it's done alright!"

I might make what I stitched into something - not sure why yet. I may have cut it too close to do anything with (should have thought about that before cutting). Oh well, I'm not going to worry about it right now. I may start Susan Rambo to make up for it or get back to Ann Grant. I'm still deciding. I definitely don't want to restart Frances right now!!

Frances Eden

Well, like Donna mentioned in her comment, Sarah Woodham can be a little tedious. She is so right. I love the sampler, but I can only work on it for it so long! I ended up getting Frances Eden out of the wip basket for a change of pace. I just love this sampler. The bright colors are so much fun to stitch with!

40 ct. Vintage Homespun by Lakeside Linens, Vikki Clayton and NPI silks (1 over 2).

Thank you all for your kind words about the transfer. I'm really doing fine. I know we'll get down there eventually. :) Write soon!

Happy New Year!!

I'm home from Florida! I just got home tonight and I'm so happy to be here! I had a great time with my family, but I'm ready to get back to my routine. I have missed my bed and my stitchy spot! :) Speaking of stitching, I thought I'd share my 2010 finishes.

My creation

I didn't have as many finishes as I would have liked. I had hoped to at least have Shores and Paradise Lost finished this year, but I went through that big slump in the summer and early fall. Here is my latest progress pic of Shores, which I worked on a little bit earlier this week...

And here's my little Frances Eden progress pic...

Not a whole lot stitched on it since the last pic. I'm seriously thinking of starting another big sampler for New Year's (I know, I've lost it)!

Elizabeth J M Mears 1833. I fell in love with this design after seeing Ellen's wip pic. Well, I hope you all have a very Happy New Year's. I plan to get settled on my couch and ring in the new year with my stitching (maybe even with Elizabeth)! :) Write soon!!

A Finish and Two Starts!

I finished up "The Stockings" yesterday! I ended up taking out Santa's beard and using a brighter white and two strands so it would show up better.

Well, I've just been hanging out with my mom and the kids. We went to the mall today (crazy us). I got my hair cut, but didn't do any shopping. I'm waiting until my dh gets here on Wednesday to do some last minute shopping. Did I mention that I'm a procrastinator?? :)

Very Bad!

I'm still here. Slowly recovering. Even though I'm not stitching I can still share some stash I got in the mail recently! I couldn't resist getting the two new Lakeside Linen colors - Vintage Homespun and Vintage Buttercream.

I have also recently fallen in love with the Handwork pattern "Frances Eden." I ended up ordering it and Vikki Clayton's silks to go with it. Here they are on the Buttercream (which is a better pic of the actual color by the way).

Well, it's back to laying on the couch for me! Hopefully I'll have some stitching to share one of these days! Write soon!
