First Day of School!

It's the first day of school here in Charleston County. And the first day of school ever for my five year old Jake. He was so brave!

It's so quiet here now with only Matthew and I. I'm just kind of wandering around wondering what to do. :)

I had a lot of fun stitching at Amy's this weekend. I was not that happy with how my box turned out though. I may take it apart and do it over. I think I need to use a few more pins to get it a little tighter. Anyway, here is a pic...

I ended up going with the cream (obviously)! Amy had the idea of doing the trim on the top, which I copied. :) I did bring my camera stitching, but forgot my memory card. I have a bad habit of doing that. I think I need to keep an extra one in my camera case.

In other news I started another new project (I think I have been feeling anxious about the boys starting school). I started "Faith Hope Love" by Midnight Stitching.

I did work on my Neighborhood a little bit too. I've almost got the red house finished. I will post a pic after its done. Well, not much else going on here. Maybe I'll take Matthew for a walk. Write later! :)

Photo Story

I didn't have a photo story picture yet, so I told Jake to throw on some shorts and go out to the dock with Mindy (the nice dog) and I would take his picture. This was the first picture I snapped and I loved it...

My instructor liked it, so I was happy. It was our last class tonight. My SIL is thinking of taking a photoshop class and I was thinking of maybe taking it with her. I would miss the last class if I moved when I was planning on moving. I could delay the move by a week or just miss the class, or just not take it. I'm still trying to decide. My mom said she would pay for it if I wanted to go, so that was good! Anyway, I'm blabbing now. I should have pictures to post of stitching tomorrow. I have been stitching... slowly, but surely. :) Write later!

I got one too!

I actually got it last week and was so surprised! Thank you whoever you are out there! :) You made my day!

I got a little bit more stitched on Poinsettias and Pines. Not much because I'm still recovering from moving. I've been going to bed around 9:30 every night!

Well, not much else going on here. Just listening to the kids playing (thankfully nicely). I took a cute picture of them today.

I couldn't get them all to look at me at the same time! Who knew I'd have three cute boys one day! :) Write later!

33!

Today I am 33. It's been a good day. The kids gave me a card and Jake picked out a couple things for me at Walgreens. I bought a Halloween cake for myself today. It was only $2.00! LOL! :) Sweet Vonna sent me an e-card this morning and said she was sending me a package. A few months ago I wrote that the LHN contest I won was the first stitched item I had ever received from someone else, so she said she would make me something for my birthday. I thought that was just too sweet of her and knowing Vonna I'm sure it will be fantastic! :)

Trick-or-Treating was fun last night. The kids has a blast and got a ton of candy! Here are a few pics...

Matthew - Buccaneer's Baby!

Bradley the Ninja

And Jake - the Sweaty Red Power Ranger! :)

I did get a little bit of stitching done last night and today on Curly Q.

I started on the sheep while waiting for my ds to get out school, so I'm hoping the kids go to bed early tonight, so I can get more done! Well, Jake is needing me. Write later! ;)

Spring is definitely here!

The Field

I went to my first baseball game this year and it was great! Up until the end when Jake through a huge temper tantrum that I was afraid the players on the field would hear him. I was so embarrassed I just wanted to crawl under the seats. He said he wanted to go, so we all got up to go, and then he started screaming that he wanted to stay. He must have been so tired because he was just being unreasonable. I really hope this is just a four year old phase and that he gets over it very soon! I felt so bad for my dad because he drove three hours to go to the game with us and then it ended the way it did. Oh well, I know not to take him to another game until he get a little older. Bradley on the other hand was so good. Just sat there and cheered and ate peanuts. I was so proud of him and hopefully when Jake's six, he'll be just as good. Anyway, another fun thing happened. I ended up getting a migraine. I started getting one on the way home partly because of the stress Jake was causing me and partly because I didn't have my coffee that morning, just half of a diet coke. By the time I got home it was really bad. I took some Excedrin and tried to lay down, but by then I was nauseous and the pain in my head was unbearable. I ended getting sick and after that I felt much better. I still have the headache, but it's nothing like it was. Later in the evening I felt well enough to stitch some...

Nature's Beauty

I finished up the flowers and the little bees. Next I'm going to stitch the rest of the words and then get started on the top half.

Jake

It's so hard to believe this little guy can cause so much trouble. With a face like that it's tough to stay mad at him long. I know he's still part baby, I just think of him as so big sometimes that I forget he's only four. Well, that was my fun day - can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring! Am I in Georgia yet?? :)

A little bit of stitching this week...

Thursday I went back down to the Golden Needle. I decided to give them one more chance. :) The shop is so cute - even if some people were a little rude. I stitched some on Village of Hawk Run Hollow while I was there...

I didn't get a lot done - just filled in some of the black background. While I was there I signed up for a class with Susan Greening Davis making little strawberry pin cushions. They're so cute!! :)

Sunday I dropped off the kids at my MIL's and went stitching at JoAnne Nantz Needlework. I got a little bit done on my Game Board Sampler...

I also got a pattern while I was there...

And because I don't have enough going on right now, I've decided to start this...

And here's my little progress pic...

I'm enjoying it so far! :) Well, I think my life will slowly be getting back to normal. Dh went back to nights today - I can once again stay up late and stitch while watching whatever I want! :) Kinda selfish of me, huh? ;)

I have one last pic to share... I captured this shot early this morning while everyone was still in their p.j.s...
