My Lady's Quaker Finished!

I had to put Paradise Lost aside for a little bit. I need to get a couple more threads for it. So I got out "My Lady's Quaker." I was determined to finish it!

Fabric: 40 ct. Vintage Light Examplar
Threads: Needlepoint Inc. Silk
Started: 8/21/09 - Finished: 10/10/09

I'm trying to decide to what to work on now. I was thinking of getting back to "It's Berry Time," but after putting in a few stitches I decided I don't want to work on it right now. Maybe I'll get back to "With My Needle." I would love to get it finished up! Well, nothing going on here. It's just a lazy Sunday. We're all still in our P.J.s! :) Write soon!

Here's my little progress on "My Lady's Quaker" as promised...

My Lady's Quaker

I haven't really gotten too much stitched on it. I did switch out the lighter silk I used for her skin (706) and used 531 instead. It's still a little light, but I think I'm going to leave it.

I also got back out "Happy Haunting" by Shepherd's Bush. I started it two years ago and put it aside. Well, I'm determined to finish it this year. Here's the progress I made on it yesterday...

I'm not using the linen that came in the kit, instead I decided to use 32 ct. Antique Cotton by R&R.

I got some threads for "A Sampling in the Square" yesterday. I'm not sure when I'll start this, but I think the colors are so bright and pretty!

I already had the linen, which is 40 ct. Vintage Buttercream by Lakeside Linens.

Well, I have so much to do today - laundry, dishes and cleaning to get ready for the coming week. But all I really want to do today is stitch! What a dilemma! :) Write soon!

Stitching and Fabric

I got a little more progress on "My Lady's Quaker."

I also decided to pull out an old UFO. Carriage House Samplings Alphabet.

I started this when I was pregnant with Matthew (over three years ago) and decided to get it back out after seeing Siobhan's beautiful framed piece. I would love to get this one finished up!

I also went to my local quilt shop (People, Places and Quilts) today. It's a beautiful shop in historic Summerville. I got some backing and binding fabric for my table topper.

I got the blue for the back and the brown for the binding. I also picked up a few fat quarters while I was there. All the fabric I got is from the Moda Figgy Pudding line.

Tomorrow I'm going to Amy's to stitch and shop! I can't wait for that!! It's been a long time since I've been away (without kids). I need it!! Write Later!

What I've Been up to

I worked on LHN "Starr of Mine" earlier in the week. But there's so much grass I had to put it away for a bit.

I then decided to join Amy's SAL for My Lady's Quaker the other day. At first I was going to use one of these combination's of Belle Soie...

And then I decided to use Cotton Threads to match Monique's version....

And finally I decided to go with Needlepoint Inc. Silk. I'm very happy with my choice (I used NPI 223, 222, 706, 344, 923 and 903). I'm a little concerned about the light peach for the skin. I wondering if it's a little too light??

I have also been working on "Finch Song." I would love to get it finished soon!

The kids had a great week at school. I had a great week enjoying being at home again! Well, the laundry and dishes are calling me! Write soon!

P.S. I have decided not to start Mary Wigham over after all. I think I'm going to use the silks for a completely different project. :)
