A New Start

I was feeling like I was getting ready to fall into a slump and the only way I know to avoid a slump is to start something new. So I did!

I decided to start "Elizabeth Sheffield" by The Scarlet Letter. I splurged on the kit from The Attic several months ago, but I had just been admiring the threads, instead of using them. Well, the other day I started using them! :)  I actually decided to use 32 ct. instead of 40 ct. because of all the over one in the sampler.

I also worked on Rubie Owl's Sampler a little bit...

And I picked up an old UFO from last year.  I'd like to get it finished before Halloween...

It's Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler.  I really don't have too much to go on it.

Well, I just booked my room for the Pals convention in Myrtle Beach in a little over two weeks.  I'm so excited to get away and stitch.  It's going to be a blast! :)

Early Birthday

I went up to Amy's today for stitching and stashing. I thought my dh would want to go golfing or something today since I went to Myrtle Beach last weekend, but he was very sweet and told me I should go. So I went!!

My birthday is on Monday, so I decided to treat myself to some new stash (like I really needed an excuse).

Shepherd's Bush "The Journey," LHN "Belle Pepper" and "Winter Band Sampler," and BBD "Moonlight Visitor."

I have been working on Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler for the past couple of days. I got the bottom half finished up and now I'm working on the top half.

I also came home to two birthday cards in the mail. It's been a great birthday so far and it's not even here yet!! :) Write soon!

A Little More Stash!

I went up to Amy's again last weekend to help her a little more with some stuff for Myrtle Beach. Of course I couldn't resist getting a couple things while I was there...

I just love this new chart, "Dust of Snow," from Plum Street Samplers...

I also love the new scissors I got. I borrowed Amy's scissors while we were stitching (I forgot mine) and really liked them, so I had to get a pair for myself. They're made by Premax. They cut so nice and are so smooth.

I have been thinking about stitching a Halloween design lately and thought I'd better get going because Halloween is less than 3 weeks away now. I was thinking of starting Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler. It's been sitting in my closet kitted up since last year.

Well, nothing else really going on. I have gotten a little more stitched on shores, but didn't take a picture and started an ornament today for the exchange. I'm sitting in the car right now watching my two older boys play baseball. They have about 20 more minutes - glad I brought my iPad. :) Write soon!
