A Little Stitching and an Early Present!

I decided to start Margaret Cottam after I finished Mary Roe. I only stitched a little bit because I wasn't sure if I was liking the linen I chose for it. It's much lighter than the called for linen.

After stitching a motif, I think I'm going to like it. I also worked on Ann Priest a little bit...

My early birthday/Christmas present is the new iPad. My kids had pretty much taken over my old iPad and I really missed having one all to myself. So my very sweet dh took me shopping today. My birthday is still weeks away, but I wanted something for when I go to Myrtle Beach. I'm so happy with it!

Speaking of Myrtle Beach - I leave in only six days now! I can't wait!!

Mary Roe 1808 Finished!

I'm making up for all those pieces I started when I was so stressed! :)  I got Mary Roe finished up today.  I love how she turned out!

Stitching

I've been stitching quite a bit on Elizabeth Mears...

40 ct. Vintage Meadow Rue, NPS (1 over 2)

I also decided to start a couple new things. The first being Mrs. Waddelow's Needlework Basket. I finished up the ruler. I mainly wanted to see how the coverage would be using only one strand and I think it will be okay.

The other thing I decided to start is "All Our Troubles" by La-D-Da. I have always loved this design and when I saw Cathy's progress on her blog the other day, I knew I had to stitch it.

Well, it's been a difficult week for Lisa's family and friends. I know I have been up and down a lot. I'm so glad that I have you all and my stitching to bring me comfort and joy. Thank you for all your kind words. They really mean so much!

Quaker Alphabet and Hanky Pysanky

I decided to stitch a little on Quaker Alphabet to decide the colors I wanted to use for it once and for all.

Quaker Alphabet

I decided on Sampler Thread Brethren Blue and Weeks Dye Works Onyx. I'm stitching it two over two. The 35 ct. linen by Weeks Dye Works is really nice to work with so far.

I also decided to get back to Hanky Pysanky last night. I finished up the motif to the left of the big diamond.

Hanky Pysanky as of 3/5/08

Well, nothing else going on here. Watching all the kids today. My mom is sick now. I don't know if she has what I had, or just has a migraine. I told her to lay down and I would watch my niece. I may take them somewhere to get them out of the house. Write later!
