I have a new Fall project that I started yesterday. It's Little House Needleworks "Two White Houses." I'm loving it so far!
I'm stitching it on my favorite fabric, 32 ct. Vintage Examplar by Lakeside Linens. I also worked on "Seasons of Change Row" and "Celtic Autumn" a little bit last week. Here's my latest progress on those two...

More Celtic Autumn and New Start
Well, I decided to go with white, not because I don't think the gold is beautiful, but because I am lazy. Since I had already started the white I didn't feel like ripping it out. So here is my latest progress pic...
And my new start is Little House Needleworks "Strawberry House." I've had it kitted for a while now and decided to start it because I was needing something small to work on. And I was going through LHN withdrawals - LOL! :)

Help Me Decide!
I have been stitching along on Celtic Autumn. I'm really enjoying it - especially now that I'm past all those swirls! My only problem is I can't decide to make part of the dress white or gold. Here's a link to Andrea's, which is the conversion I'm using and Lisa's (she's using the gold). They are both beautiful. I have already started stitching the white, so I may end up going with that. But I do like the gold too. Lisa was kind enough to give me her conversion. What do you all think?? Here is my progress as of yesterday...
I also worked on my "Amish Trip Around the World" canvas work piece a little bit last night. This was something good for me to work on last night when I was a little tired, but still wanted to stitch.

Celtic Autumn and Madeira Tin Project
Hi Everyone! I have been stitching. I have been working mostly on Celtic Autumn. I'm finally past the many color changes of the swirly part of her skirt.
And here's my little start on my tin project. I'm working on stitching the biscornu right now...
I have about five weeks to finish it. I think I can do it! :) Write later!

This and That and Rain
Well, my dh has gone out of town, so his side is the bed is filled with stitching stuff. I have canvas work, cross stitch and knitting! I have been working on a little bit of everything today!
I finished up a sock yesterday - it fits perfect and I love it! I'm anxious to get started on the second one now.
It looks huge, but it's really not. It's just the angle in which the picture was taken.
I have also been working on another canvas work piece. This is a freebie by Laura J. Perin called "Grandma's Flower Garden." Which you can find here (scroll down).
I'm not too far away from being finished. I like these little designs they are so quick and easy and fun! Thank you all for your very kind comments on my other canvas work - "Hide & Seek." You have inspired me to keep at it! :)
I have also rejoined the Celtic Lady SAL. I got Celtic Autumn back out and stitched on her just a bit tonight. I know I really should be finishing up my neighborhood, but I think I'm feeling a little anxious about Hanna. Although all we've had so far is rain - no wind. Hopefully it stays that way.

Celtic Autumn Day 2
I got a little bit more of her dress done yesterday. There are a lot of color changes in this section!

I've almost got the border on Curly Q finished. I haven't stitched much today because I went shopping for new clothes for my trip. I have been wearing the same old clothes since I had Matthew and it was so nice to treat myself to something new. I also got my hair chopped off - at least five inches! It feels so good, I don't know why I didn't do that sooner!
Well, hopefully I'll have more to show on Curly Q tomorrow! Write later! :)

New Lizzie Kate's!
I stopped by my LNS today. I love payday! :) Anyway, I noticed they had in the new Lizzie Kate's last time I was there and I told him I'd be back! :)

I got the special edition Christmas kit that comes with six full skeins of Crescent Colours and 28 ct. Light Mocha Cashel linen. I also got the last two Flip-it Bits I was needing. Although I'm now two months behind on my Flip-its. I really need to catch up, or I never will. It will be like all my other monthly designs that start getting neglected around this time of year. You think I'd learn by now??
I did work on Queen Anne's Lace again yesterday and today, so it seems I'm gradually coming out of my slump. I really hope so - I hate being lazy!! :)

There's really not a huge difference in the last two progress pictures, but oh well, what the hey! I don't have any other stitching pictures to share! :) Write more later!

Long Time No Blog!
I don't know what's wrong with me lately, but I've had no desire to stitch or blog. I guess everyone needs a break every now and then. I'm not feeling depressed anymore. I'm just feeling lazy. At night I've just been watching Gilmore Girls, but not stitching. I'm almost to the end of season six and then I'll have to wait until season seven comes out. And then that's it for me and Lorelai and Rory. So sad. :) I did stitch a tiny bit yesterday while waiting for my ds to get out of school...

Pretty boring. Argh - how do I get out of my slump?? Anyway, I will do it - it may just take a little time. It could be the heat - I really can't wait until it cools down somewhat. I'll take 84 over 94 anyday! Well, obviously not much going on here! :) Write later!

Lavender and Lace Kick
I've been on a Lavender & Lace kick lately. Rediscovering all the old patterns. L&L is what really got me started stitching. After I stitched Angel of Autumn I was absolutely hooked - no turning back! I have always wanted to stitch Angel of Spring, and after seeing Anniebeez's start, I decided to kit it up. Unfortunately I didn't have any fabric big enough. I really like Misty Blue Belast, so I ordered some from Handcrafts Online (no hurry MK). :) Here's a picture of some of the threads on a small piece I had.

I think it's going to look pretty. I also decided to kit Dance of the Roses. I love the colors in this one. I was thinking of using the Vintage Navy Bean that I got last week.

Sorry about the whiny posts lately! I think I'm finally coming out of the doldrums. My air is working again and that has definitely helped! I've been taking Zicam every four hours to help with the cold and I think that is helping too! Well, not much else going on - I did stitch a little last night, but not really enough to show a pic. Hopefully I'll get more done tonight! Write later! :)

Sick!
I went to the Dr. to get something to help with my PMS, which could also be a reason for being down at certain times. She suggested a birth control pill that would help with that. I took it the first day and I was fine. I took it the second day and I puked my guts out all day long. It was not fun. So I called the office and left a message suggesting we go a different route. There's no way I'm taking one of those things again! I used to take them a long time ago and they make me sick then too. But I figured it's been years, I've had three kids, they probably won't affect me the same. Oh but they did, worse than ever before! Anyway, I'm just getting back to normal. Eating crackers and drinking soda water. I did get a little stitching done the day before. Not much really, just some of the cream in the yellow dress...

Well, I'm going to lay down and get some rest! Write later!

Fabric!
I received a package today from Handcrafts Online. I wanted to see and feel the difference between 25 ct. Lugana and Jobelan. The main noticeable difference between the two is Lugana is stiffer than Jobelan. I didn't test any stitches on them, so I can't say anything about that yet.

Mary Kathryn also added a skein of Dinky Dyes silk thread as a "down payment" for a fob she bought! She is too kind! :) I was thinking of using the Lugana to stitch "Kind Fond Love Sampler" one of these days. I saw Peg from Lost in Threads stitched this over one on Lugana last year. I thought it turned out so pretty!
Well, I didn't go stitching last night. I was just too tired to drive an hour to only stitch for an hour. I did stitch at home on Queen Anne's Lace. Here's the latest progress pic...

Not a huge difference, but I did get to another set of roses. Lots of color changes again! :) Well, not much else going on. I'm so tired today! I've been making myself get up early to prepare for Bradley going back to school in a couple of weeks! Jake still has to wait another year. His birthday is ONE day past the deadline. I know that is probably a good thing for him to wait, but sometimes I think it would be really nice for him to be going to school - to play with other kids, etc. Oh well, what can you do?? :) Write later!!

More Yellow!
I did get a little stitching done this weekend. I went to Nantz Needlework for a couple hours and then stitched last night while watching a few episodes of Gilmore Girls. :)

Christine asked if all the spaces in her skirt were for beads. It's not for beads, but metallic thread. There are six spools of gold metallic used in this design! I'll probably wait and fill it all in at the end. Fun, fun! :)
In other news I'm so excited! My brother gave me his Dell Axim X30. I'm downloading my cross stitch inventory right now! I'm hoping it works! He got a new Palm Treo, so he didn't need this one anymore. I have a very old Palm Pilot from 2000, so this is a very big treat for me!
Well, that's all that's going on right now. Write later! :)

Just a Few Things...
I meant to blog yesterday, but I didn't get a chance! I was going to show you all that I did get to the yellow! A teeny bit of yellow...

Here's a close up just in case you can't see my little spec of yellow! :)

I also thought I'd post a picture of my teeny Red Witch WIP. This little section took about 2 hours. There are a lot of color changes, and for some crazy reason I'm still liking it!

Those are all the red and pink threads. That's just a small portion of all threads needed in this design!
I'm a little late to the party, but I finally bought the first Harry Potter to read with my seven year old. He wasn't interested, but after about eight pages I think I've got him hooked. And I'm so glad I finally know what a muggle is! :) Well, not much going on here. I'm hoping to go stitching later! :)

I'm Rockin!
Tanya tagged me as a

I never thought of myself as rockin'! A little kooky and a lot impulsive (which explains the stash and the starts)! Tanya is a rockin' blogger herself and because she said kindred spirit that makes her one too (she must have read Anne of Green Gables like I did growing up). :) Ok, so I'm to pick just five other girl bloggers who are rockin', that's a hard one. I have hundreds in my google reader. I find new ones everyday, but my absolute favorites are...
1. Crazy Aunt Purl - She is hilarious and honest and I think of her as a friend (along with thousands of others) because she is so down to earth and shares so much of herself. I cried all day when her cat, Roy, died recently.
2. Dooce - She is also another honest, amazing women. She has battled depression and left a religion that all of her family still believes in. I can relate to her immensely and she's just funny on top of it all.
3. Melanie - She is my best friend. We met in Hawaii over 10 years ago and have remained close ever since. And it's all because of her. She wrote me and sent cards, still sends cards. She is the sweetest person I know. She's been through a lot and I'm so glad she finally has everything she wants! :)
4. Becky - She is so kind to everyone. She is always giving wonderful gifts and tries so hard to make our stitching community a nice one for everyone! She has a wonderful heart!
5. Katrina - She has been so supportive and has been there for me to talk to because her husband is also away right now. It's so nice to know we're not alone out there! Oh yeah, she's also a pretty great stitcher too!
That was very hard to chose - I truly cherish all my online friends that I've met over the years. Teejay also tagged me the other day and I was just getting ready to do the five things meme and then noticed it was gone from her blog - I'm sorry Teejay that I didn't respond sooner! :(
Well, I'm still stitching away on QAL! And I did stitch a very small portion of the QS Red Witch HAED. I counted up the colors today and there are 80! I am liking it though, we'll see how long it lasts! :) Here's my latest Queen Anne's Lace wip...

Well, I'm going to try to get a little more stitching done! Hey maybe I'll get to some of the yellow in the dress tonight?? :) Write later!

I Feel So Boring...
...Being a one-at-a-time girl. All I have been working on is Queen Anne's Lace lately. It's the only thing calling to me right now.

I had a very nice weekend with my dh and it went by way too fast like always! We are getting ready to list our house with a new realtor. I really hope she'll be able to get it sold faster. We lowered the price quite a bit and the realtor thought we have a much better chance with the market being the way it is right now. Well, not much else going on! Write later! :)

A Little More Queen Anne's Lace...
I worked on Queen Anne's Lace again last night. I'm still working on the side of the skirt - although I did get some roses done! That was a nice change, but also a lot of color changes!

Queen Anne's Lace as of 7/26/07.
I also got a couple more charts the other day...

Little House Needlework's "Gourmet Garden" and "Garden Pleasures."
I love these new LHN's - I think they're so cute! Well, I'm watching my niece, Halle, and Matthew, so I'd better go. They're both a little fussy and Matthew is trying to take off his diaper!

A Little Bit of Stitching...
Whenever I go away it takes me a few days to get back into my routine. I got just a little bit stitching done on Queen Anne's Lace last night.

There's really not much of a difference since the last picture.
Well, nothing really going on here right now! Write later! :)

I Played Hooky Today!
I went to Nantz Needlework in Holiday today. I had to get my "Stitches and Wishes" partner's package together. I got her Trilogy's Beatrice and the threads to go with it. She had it starred on her wish list so I hope she likes it all! It's a cute pattern. I picked up my package too. I got Helen Bell's Multiplication table, but unfortunately I already got it from Kathy Barrick-Dieter when she sent all the patterns to me. It was my fault, I forgot to take it off my wish list at the shop. Duh! So I'm going to put it on my sale/trade blog. I did get a little bit of stitching done while I was there...

I've been stitching away on Queen Anne's Lace. It's a fun stitch so far. I'm looking forward to stitching with a different color though! :)
I also received a gift certificate along with the pattern, so I got a couple things with it...

I got Little House Needlework's Colonial Dry Goods and a couple of Crescent Colours to go with it. I also go The Sweetheart Tree's Lavender Radiance. The ladies at the shop are going to do a SAL on Tuesdays starting in August. That should be fun! An excuse to get out once a week! :) Well, not much else. Today is Matthew's "real" birthday. We went out to eat and he was such a good boy! I'm taking him up to Georgia with me tomorrow. Hopefully he's a good boy on the drive up! :) Write later!

Wearing his Birthday Boy shirt again! :)

Birthday fun!
Matthew's birthday party went very well yesterday. Matthew was so cute. He had just woken up from a nap though, so he wasn't too interested in eating cake. He did have fun with his grandmas and aunts and uncles.

Matthew

Elmo Cake

Hmmm... I don't know about this!

Having fun riding on his new truck!
After everyone left I was just exhausted! I could have fallen right to sleep, but the boys had other ideas! After I got everyone to bed I managed to stitch a little bit on Queen Anne's Lace.

Queen Anne's Lace as of 7/15/07
It's looking a little less like a blob and starting to look more like a dress! :) I had a nice weekend with dh. We went out to eat Saturday night and then he left after the party on Sunday. The poor guy though - he was stuck in traffic for a couple hours and then got a flat tire. It just wasn't his night, but he made it back safe and will now most likely have to get new tires put on the car. Fun, fun! Well, not much else going on right now. Write later! :)

More Blob!
I worked on Queen Anne's Lace again last night. Even though I just have a small portion of the dress stitched it makes me remember why I love Lavender and Lace designs so much. It's the shading. It's like stitching a piece of art. I love the colors in this section, which are the DMC 924 range. Probably one of my favorite color ranges in the DMC line. Anyway, enough rambling here's a little wip pic.

I made a few more fobs, which I'll be adding to my trade blog lately. I love making them, but have no use for so many. Although I do like to match them up to whatever I'm stitching. That's a little OCD, huh? :)
My hubby comes home tonight, so I've been cleaning trying to get our rooms somewhat presentable. I do have to be thankful I only have to worry about 2 rooms and a bathroom right now. My mom cleans the rest of the house. I will definitely miss that when we move out. Speaking of which our listing is up on our house. We have to find a new realtor. It's been on the market now for 8 months and no bites. Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer! Well, not much else! Write later!
