Sarah's House Finished!

I decided to work on Sarah's House over the weekend to try to get it finished up.  I put the last stitch in today.  I don't know why I neglected it for so long.  It didn't take long to finish once I got started again.

Threads: Belle Soie, Dinky Dyes and Silk 'n Colors 

Started: 7/24/12 - Finished: 5/22/13 

The only change I made was I stitched the large alphabet in eyelet stitch like the original sampler.

I have been working on Sarah's House here and there.  It's been a busy couple of weeks.  I can't believe we'll be heading back up to South Carolina in less than a week.  This summer has flown by!

Another New Start...

Yes, I seem to have startitis.  It started back in May and hasn't let up.  I'm blaming it on the stress - it makes me do crazy things! :)  Anyway,  I ended up starting the main sampler in the Blackbird Designs Sarah's House leaflet, which is also named "Sarah's House" a few days ago.  I also ended up going with the silks.  I just couldn't resist them.  I had all of them except for one and I picked that up at my LNS (Silk Road Needle Arts) near my mom's house.

I was so happy when that border matched! :)  Just a couple more weeks and we'll be headed back to South Carolina.  I'm so sad to be leaving Florida, but happy to get the kids back to their schools and their routines.

I just got Sarah's House in the mail today from Down Sunshine Lane.  I love all the designs in the leaflet...
