Almost there....

I'm almost finished with the castle on Elizabeth Mears. I just have to add a chimney and a few other things on top. I'm sure those things have names, but I'm too tired to think of or search for what they might be. :)

Elizabeth Mears as of 3/20/2012
40 ct. Vintage Meadow Rue, NPI silks (1 over 2)

I also got a new pattern in the mail the other day...

Jane Pattison by Shakespeare's Peddler

It's "Jane Pattison 1806" by Shakespeare's Peddler. I have decided to use the cottons instead of the wools on 40 ct. linen. I think I'm going to go with Lakeside Linens Lentil.

Elizabeth Mears

I decided to get Elizabeth Mears back out yesterday. I really would love to get it finished up sometime this year. The castle is what made me put it away. It's huge! This is where I left off last year...

And this is where I'm at now...

I also worked on Christmas Garden a little bit...

Christmas Garden
40 ct. Vintage Lt. Examplar, CC and GAST (1 over 2)

I'm almost finished with the border. It really is such a fun sampler to stitch.

Another sampler I've wanted to stitch for a long time is Shakespeare's Peddler's "Spanish Mystery Sampler." I decided to kit it up after seeing Natalia's beautiful finish!

Threads and linen

Not sure when I'll get to it, but I love it! Well, I'd better get going - I have a date with the copier at my son's school. :)

Ann Grant Finished!

I just put the last stitch in Ann Grant. Wow, I can't believe I got it finished!! I love how it turned out. See my Flickr album for more pictures of Ann.

A Little Break from Ann

I started this very sweet sampler last week...

Emma Mills by The Scarlett House
40 ct. Vintage Navy Bean, GAST and WDW (1 over 2)

It's "Emma Mills 1839" by The Scarlett House. Faye started her too. Great minds think alike! :)

Here's where I left off on Ann...

Ann Grant

I got all of the border finished (inside and out) and started working on the inside again. As soon as I get Emma finished I plan to get back to her.

I also ran up to my sort of LNS today and got some threads. I think I've finally decided to use the original called for threads for Christmas Garden...

Christmas Garden

Katrina and Lois have inspired me with their beautiful samplers so much! The linen I've decided on is 40 ct. Vintage Lt. Examplar. Now, I can't wait to get started... Ann may have to wait a little longer. :)

ETA: Faye has now finished Emma Mills! It looks amazing!!

More Ann Grant

I'm still working on Ann. Every time I start to feel a little bored, I pull up Margaret's beautiful framed finish (scroll down) for inspiration.

That tree took forever and I'm so glad to be past it! I'm a little over a third done. I'm really going to try to stick with it. We'll see how long it will last - I'm already feeling the urge to move on.

A New Start

I was feeling like I was getting ready to fall into a slump and the only way I know to avoid a slump is to start something new. So I did!

I decided to start "Elizabeth Sheffield" by The Scarlet Letter. I splurged on the kit from The Attic several months ago, but I had just been admiring the threads, instead of using them. Well, the other day I started using them! :)  I actually decided to use 32 ct. instead of 40 ct. because of all the over one in the sampler.

I also worked on Rubie Owl's Sampler a little bit...

40 ct. Vintage Sand Dune, Belle Soie and NPI silks (1 over 2).

And I picked up an old UFO from last year.  I'd like to get it finished before Halloween...

It's Jenny Bean's Halloween Sampler.  I really don't have too much to go on it.

Well, I just booked my room for the Pals convention in Myrtle Beach in a little over two weeks.  I'm so excited to get away and stitch.  It's going to be a blast! :)

Stitching ADD

I have been floundering between projects again. For some reason I've been having trouble sticking to one thing.

I ended up restarting my Birds of a Feather Mystery Sampler. I decided to use 40 ct. Vintage Pecan Butter instead of the Lentil (or Navy Bean).

DSC_0023

I like it much better on the Pecan Butter. I decided to go darker after seeing Amy's pretty wip at our get together in Manning.

After working on the mystery sampler for a little bit I got Ann Grant (excuse the wrinkles) back out...

DSC_0016

And then when I got bored with Ann I got VoHRH back out. I have worked on this one the longest lately. The black fill in is making me a little bonkers! I'm determined to get this block done though.

DSC_0012

I'd love to be able to stick to one thing and stitch it! Maybe I can do that for awhile with VoHRH.

I just want to say thank you to everyone who has bought items from my stash sale!! I really appreciate it!! :) Hope you all are having a great start to summer!

More Sarah

I'm still working on Sarah Woodham. It didn't seem like I had gotten anything done until I looked at my before picture.

Sarah Woodham as of 4/11/11
40 ct. Vintage Pearled Barley, various silk threads (1 over 2)

I worked on this corner a little bit to take a break from the over one words.

I'm excited that I don't have too much more to go!! Maybe it will only take a few more weeks if I can find some stitching time while in Florida! :)

Sarah Again

I have been slowly stitching the over one words in the middle...

Over one section

I'm hoping to get it finished within the next couple of months. I would say month, but I don't see it happening because spring break is coming up and we'll be headed down to Florida with the kids.

I stitched a couple more motifs last night.

A Little More Ann

I worked on Ann quite a bit this weekend. Well, not yesterday because I decided our little condo needed some spring cleaning. It amazing how fast the clutter piles up - especially with three boys running around! Anyway, here is my progress pic...

Ann Grant as of 3/27/11

I'm loving seeing all the Ann's out there in blog world. So far I've seen Sampler Lovers, Margaret's, and Deb's. They're all so pretty! I love seeing how they look from the top since I'm starting at the bottom. They give me inspiration to keep going! :)

P.S. I think that funky bird is actually a peacock, not a turkey.

Ann's House

I finished up Ann's House yesterday! Except, I just realized I have a row of 1/2 stitches in the roof. Oops! :) At least that's an easy fix.

Ann Grant progress as of 3/23/11

I'm working on the funky looking bird now, which I think is a turkey. :) Thanks to all that have helped me clear out some stash! Write soon!
