My Next Start?

I'm thinking of starting CCN's "Home Sweet Home" next. I got some of the threads needed yesterday.

I was thinking of stitching it on 32 ct. Cream Belfast. So that's what I have planned for tonight. I'm either going to start that or keep working on my "Simple Little Quaker."

Stitching as of 9/29/07.

I loved reading all your commments on whether you are a process or product stitcher. It was very interesting to find out what you all prefer.

Well, dh left not too long ago, so it's my time to stitch and listen to my book! :) Write later!

Not Finished Yet!

I've been stitching away on my Quaker Sampler, but I'm not done yet. I have a few more large motifs to finish up yet.

I did finish Drums of Autumn on CD. It was very good and I just started Fiery Cross, the next book in the series. I'm so glad I had it ready because it starts right where the last one left off.

Michelle left a comment about showing you all what I do with all my finished projects. And the answer is, sadly, nothing. I put them in a rubbermaid bin in between layers of acid free tissue paper. I decided to count them and there are 90, so sad. But for me it's definitely the process, not the product. Some people are all about the product or finished piece. After I'm done stitching something I'm usually ready to start the next one, so it goes into the bin and is not thought of too much after that! :) That is a good question though. Are you a process or product stitcher?

Now, I do have some finished and framed, they are mostly in Georgia though. The finished needlerolls, etc. are put away too. I put them away for safekeeping until we are in our own place and can display them in a cabinet away from dust, dogs, and children. :)

Well, that's all for now! I'm going to try to get some stitching done before dh gets home. Write later! :)

Simple Little Quaker

I decided to pull out my "Simple Little Quaker" by Papillon Creations. I haven't worked on it since May. I finished up a couple motifs on the left and just started on one of the center motifs.

I'd forgotten what a fun stitch this one is! I'd love to get it finished up too! We'll see if I can stick to it! :)

Well, not much going on here. Glad to see my old readers back. I hadn't realized how much my new (now old) template was affecting people! :)

A Tiny Little Finish!

I decided to stitch up a little fob for my new scissors. I decided on "A Tiny Little Quaker" freebie by Papillon Creations. I think it turned out pretty cute. My sewing still leaves something to be desired, but oh well! What can you do?? :)

Simple Little Quaker

I got two motifs done today in between all the laundry and cleaning! Matthew seems to finally being doing better. I can't tell if a tooth has popped through yet or not. He won't let me get a good look. Anyway, this will be a short post. Write more tomorrow! :)

Couldn't Resist...

I started Simple Little Quaker today while waiting to get my ds from school. I ended up starting it on 40 ct. Navy Bean linen by Lakeside. It's actually my first time using 40 ct. and I have to say I really like it. I think I like it better than 36 because it's a little denser than 36, which is pretty soft. I'm not a big fan of soft fabrics. I like them to to be a little thick. Anyway, the linen out of sunlight has a little green tint to it, so I don't know how happy I am with the color. But I do like the Lotus Flower Silk 'N Colors, it's a such a pretty purply-blue.

I think it will be a fun project (if I can get over the green tinted linen). :) My dh brought Jake's old crib down from Georgia for Matthew last week and we got it all set up for him. The poor thing has been sleeping in that pack and play all this time, and now he can finally stretch out. I think he's really liking his "new" crib.

I love how he's been sleeping on his back more often, I love to watch him sleep - he's so peaceful. I'm so grateful to have such a sweet baby. Anyway, I'm getting all mushy here. :) It's late and I'm ready to get some sleep!

P.S. My man Andruw Jones just got a 3 run homer! Go Braves!!!

Found the Perfect Thread and Linen!

I was looking through my threads and I found a very pretty blue by Olde Willow Stitchery called Prussion Blue from their Quaker Colors line. I thought it would be perfect for the new chart I got (Simple Little Quaker). There's just one problem though, I only have one skein! I'll have to order more and hope the dye-lots match! Maybe I should just go ahead and order the right amount that way I know they'll match?? The linen is Country French Latte - I had just the right amount!

Simple Little Quaker

I fixed up my stitching corner a little bit, so I thought I'd share a pic. I miss my old built in china cupboard that's in my house in Georgia (I had it all displayed in there), but I guess this will do for now. ;)

I haven't done any stitching today. I have been knitting a little on my 2nd sock from the picture below. I'm hoping to get it finished and then send them out to one of my old co-workers. I promised her a pair of socks!! :) Write later!
