Sunflower Bellpull - Finally Finished!!!

I was determined to get finished up this week and I finally did. I'm so glad this one is done!!

The Drawn Thread "Sunflower Bellpull"
Fabric: 32 ct. Natural Glenshee Linen
Threads: DMC, WDW and Needle Necessities
Started: 1/21/07
Finished 9/21/07

Yeah! I'm so happy. I'll just have to finish it into a bellpull now, which will probably take another eight months to get around to!

Next, I think I'm going to try to finish up "My Earth." I don't think it should take me too long. I just have to finish up the arch. I figured I might as well try since I'm in a finishing mood! :)

Write later! :)

Edited to add - I decided to change my name again (sorry if this has messed you all up)!

A little 4th of July Stitching!

I finished up this little freebie last night...

"Liberty for Ewe" by Sharon Crescent
Fabric: 32 ct. Light Mocha Belfast
Threads: Crescent Colours and one GAST
Started and Finished: 7/4/07

I saw this freebie on Joanne's blog yesterday and fell in love (I love sheep), and decided to stitch it right away. I had to make substitutions because I didn't have all CC required. I think it turned out pretty cute! Well, only two out of three kids stayed awake for the fireworks (Jake). He had a ton of fun watching them. We were able to stay in the living room and see them out the window. They were so loud and close because they were shooting them off only a few blocks away.

I did get a little more done on Sunflower Bellpull also. I finished the lowercase alphabet above the house.

So all in all the Fourth was a pretty relaxing day. Now it's back to work, so I'd better get to it! Write later! :)

Sunflower Bellpull

I stayed up way too late watching, yes, you guessed it, Gilmore Girls. I got three more discs in the mail yesterday. I'm almost done with season 1. I'm definitely hooked now! I did get the house portion of my bellpull completed, which was a June goal, but oh well, better late than never, right?? :)

I think I'm about halfway done now. I was thinking of only working on this one this week to try to get even more done. I'd love to get some of these wips out of the way to make room for new things like Bellemeade! :) While I was cleaning yesterday I found more wire and made three more fobs! Well, needless to say not much cleaning got done! I was totally obsessed yesterday with making these! I even had my four year old making them. He woke up this morning wanting to make one and I had to tell him there was no more wire. I used every last bit - so sad! :) Well, not much else! Write later!

P.S. Happy 4th of July!

Sunflower Bellpull

I worked on Drawn Thread's Sunflower Bellpull a little last night. I stitched most of the house in the middle of the pattern. I'm so glad I'm back to my rotation. I missed this project and I think I can finish it fairly soon if I stick to it. I think it definitely helps me to have goals.

Sunflower Bellpull as of 6/7/07

I decided to take my Game Board Sampler out of my rotation. In fact I'm not sure if I'm going to stitch on it anymore. My reason is a little nutty, but it was driving me crazy! I started on the horizontal thread. I never do that, I always start on the vertical and everytime I stitched it - it drove me nuts! I don't know why I didn't fix it ages ago. The only thing I can think of is it was one of my first projects after not stitching for almost two years. So I may restart it one of these days, but I don't think anytime soon, it's just too frustrating!

Well, not much else going on here really. My brother (who is also my boss) went to Vegas for the weekend, so I'm kind of on a mini-vacation too. I'm sure when he gets back I'll have a ton to do, so for now I'm going to enjoy it! Write later! :)

P.S. If anyone wants my Sampler Gameboard UFO (stitched fabric only) and doesn't mind that it's on the horizontal you are more than welcome to it! Just email me and it's yours! Found a good home - thanks Peg! :)

A little more on Sunflower Bellpull

I met my goal for Sunflower Bellpull. I got the rest of the words, a band and the birds stitched. It went fairly fast.

Sunflower Bellpull as of 3/2/07

I'm thinking of adding a new project to my rotation... CCN Spring Violets. I just love the colors and the simplicity of the design. I don't have the pearl fabric it calls for, but I do have some plain cream Belfast, which I can use. I guess I'm feeling a little burnt out right now, but I don't plan on abandoning my rotation, especially since I'm seeing some progress! :)

Well, I think Matthew is waking up - I'd better go! Write later!

Back on track...

I worked on my Sunday project yesterday, which is Sunflower Bellpull...

Sunflower Bellpull as of 2/18/07

I just got a couple rows of lettering done. I didn't stitch on it much because I was busy finishing my strawberry...

Finished Strawberry

It was a pretty easy finish. I think I would definitely like to make another one, except this time on a smaller count linen.

I wanted a little basket to hold some of my needlework accessories and remembered I had one in the closet. I asked my mom if she could make me a liner for it and she got right to work. I think it turned out so cute!

Tonight I plan on working on my Pomegranate Sampler again. I'm hoping to get another row above the numbers finished. Write more later! :)

P.S. My baby is seven months today! Where does the time go?? :)

Sorry it's not the greatest pic - it's a little overcast today. Well, today's project is Pomegranate Sampler. I haven't worked on that in quite awhile! Here's the latest picture I have ot it...

Tonight I'm hoping to get more done... my show is on tonight (Grey's Anatomy) and it's a new one! I can't wait for 9:00! :) Write later!

My name and date...

I couldn't decide what to put in the personalization section of the sampler. I stitched and restitched it about four times. First I was going to do my initials and last name like Cynthia did, but it wouldn't fit and then I was going to do my first name and last initial, but it still wouldn't fit and then I was going to do the date in smaller numbers, but it looked funny. So I think I'm happy with this. I would've had a lot more done if it weren't for my indecision.

I forgot to share my new stash from the Golden Needle. I'm always on the lookout for Goode Huswife patterns because they are out of print. I found a couple of them and I also got a Shepherd's Bush kit - Love Letters. After seeing Karen V's stitched I knew I had to have it! :)

Hopefully I get a chance to stitch a little more tonight! Write later! :)

Michelle - they were nicer to me - the one lady even said she was surprised that she hadn't scared me off!

Julianne - I'm using 32 ct. Glenshee linen. I cut it down the middle - I'm thinking of using the other half for Lizzie Kate's new monthly series.

Karen - I will defintely be going back to Golden Needle - I can't wait to take that class! :) I like the shop because the owner and I both love Shepherd's Bush, so I always know where I can get the latest kits! :)

Well, I think that's all for now! Jake needs to be put to bed, so I'll write later! Thank you all for your nice comments! :)

A little bit of stitching this week...

Thursday I went back down to the Golden Needle. I decided to give them one more chance. :) The shop is so cute - even if some people were a little rude. I stitched some on Village of Hawk Run Hollow while I was there...

I didn't get a lot done - just filled in some of the black background. While I was there I signed up for a class with Susan Greening Davis making little strawberry pin cushions. They're so cute!! :)

Sunday I dropped off the kids at my MIL's and went stitching at JoAnne Nantz Needlework. I got a little bit done on my Game Board Sampler...

I also got a pattern while I was there...

And because I don't have enough going on right now, I've decided to start this...

And here's my little progress pic...

I'm enjoying it so far! :) Well, I think my life will slowly be getting back to normal. Dh went back to nights today - I can once again stay up late and stitch while watching whatever I want! :) Kinda selfish of me, huh? ;)

I have one last pic to share... I captured this shot early this morning while everyone was still in their p.j.s...
