I Changed My Name...
...Again. I'm so sorry! This is the last time I plan to change it. I was just getting tired of naming it after places instead of what my blog is really about - Needlework! The header is temporary. I'll be playing around with some more! Sorry again for any confusion! :)

Experimenting
I have been playing around with digital scrapbooking. It's a whole new world out there. So if you come back and see that my template has changed 50 times that is why! I'll have a stitching update tomorrow! :)

It's Not a Burn
As the day went on I could tell it wasn't a burn, but it was an infection and it was getting worse. I couldn't stand the pain any longer, so when the kids got out of school I went to the nearest walk in clinic. They drained it and gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way. Unfortunately, there is no way I can stitch right now because of course it's the finger I use to hold my needle. So, I'm just hanging out on the couch watching Spongebob with the kids. Hopefully, I'll be back to normal soon!
Tagged
Okay, I know I said I was going to go lay down, but a couple people have tagged me, so I thought I'd better comply before I get in trouble! LOL! :)
Rule #1 ~ Link to the person that tagged you.
Rule #2 ~ Post the rules on your Blog.
Rule #3 ~ Write 6 random things about yourself.
Rule #4 ~ Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
Rule #5 ~ Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their Blog.
Rule #6 ~ Let the tagger know your entry is up.
The people that tagged me were Leah and Michele
Hmm... six random things
1. I have lived in 17 cities in 6 different states, no I wasn't a military brat, but I was a military wife for the six years that dh was in the Army.
2. I lived in Hawaii for over two years, and regretfully didn't see very much of the island we lived on (Oahu).
3. I met my dh when I was 14 and in 8th grade and we got married when I was 18, two days after high school graduation.
4. I got married on a boat called the Show Queen in Clearwater, FL. We were married by the captain of the boat.
5. The worst job I ever had was working in the shoe dept. at Walmart (in Hawaii), but I met one of my best friends there, so it was worth it... Heel, toe, heel, toe.
6. I learned to stitch by making friendship braclets. One day I was bored and decided to learn what that thread was really used for. :)
I won't tag anyone, but if you want to play along feel free!! It was fun!
Write later (again)!

Ouch!!
I have a hurt finger. I don't know what I did - I can't remember if I burned it or if I have a hang nail that got infected somehow. All I know is I'm in a lot of pain and it's very swollen. If it doesn't get better soon I'll go see a doctor. It's so strange. It's sad that I can't remember if I burned it or not. Probably because I'm such a spaz in the kitchen. I try to do too much, too fast. I really need to slow down a little. Another reason I think it may be a burn is because it feels better when I put ice on it. Who knows? I was able to stitch a little bit yesterday - I have been working on block #2 of Sea to Shining Sea (Southwest). I'll take a pic a little later. For now I'm going to lay down with a bag of ice. Write later!

I'm Back!
And I'm exhausted!! My fingers ache (from gripping boxes and furniture) and my toes ache (from gripping my flip flops while trying move said boxes and furniture - what dummy wears flip flops while moving?). My stitching bag was not opened once. It was pretty much non stop work. We are halfway done. I just have to wait now until June 14 (we decided to delay our move a week) to move all of our stuff down here up there. I have a ton of packing and throwing away ahead of me. Fun, fun! I did manage to do a teeny bit of decorating...
In my bedroom I hung my two favorite Shepherd's Bush designs (Queen Bee Sampler and Beekeepers Cottage) on one wall and on the other wall my favorite L&L angel (Peace Angel). It was so good to see them hanging there. Like old friends I haven't seen in almost two years! Please take no notice of the hastily made bed! :) Well, I'd better get some sleep now. I've got to get back into my routine again! Write later!

Lazy Saturday
Taken from Monique's Blog...
1.) How do you hold your fabric? I stitch in hand so I roll the fabric up from the left side and hold the roll with my left hand. (same as Monique).
2) Floss licker? Only when I can't find my threader.
3) How do you thread your needle? With my threader.
5) Are you a needle loser? Oh yeah. And unfortunately my husband's feet usually find them! Ouch!!
6) What fabric do you prefer to stitch on? Belfast linen is my favorite.
7) Bobbins or floss bags? Both and I also use Thread Drops.
8) Are you a scissors collector? Yes, I have way too many!
9) Do you do your own framing, and if so, do you lace or pin? I used to. I pinned.
10) Are you a floss floozy? Yes, but I'm actually more of a Fabric whore!
11) Silk? Yes, I love silk!
12) Railroader? Only when it seems like my thread is getting twisty and it looks like it needs it, but not every stitch.
13) Are you a pattern or designer snob? It depends. If I know a designer has copied another designer that I like I won't buy their patterns. I don't think that's right.
14) Do you get antsy when you give someone a stitched gift? Yes, I always worry that it's not good enough.
15) Have you reached S.A.B.L.E.? I think I reached it years ago!
16) Do you wash your projects? Only if I'm not using hand-dyed threads or fabric. So I guess the answer would be no because I'm always using one or the other lately.
I'm not doing anything today. Today is a pajama day for me. I took a shower and put on clean pajamas! :) I decided to get "Heart of America" back out and I stitched on that a little bit yesterday and today.

My Name
Wow!! This is so true it's scary!!
What Nicole Means |
![]() You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily. You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind. A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable. You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you. At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily. Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. |

More Hanky Pysanky
I decided to get back to HP last night. I love the diamond motif that I'm working on now. It's so much fun!
I'm getting ready to go to South Carolina for the weekend. It's supposed to be cold up there tonight! I'm so glad there's a fireplace in the apartment. It's so cozy! :)
I thought I'd some questions before I go...
Danielle asked if there was a conversion to Crescent Colours for Brave Hearts and the answer is yes!
Cindy asked what type of 40 ct. linen I prefer. I definitely prefer Zwiegart Newcastle. Not Wichelt, which is too holey and stiff! I love lakeside Linens, which uses the Newcastle as it's base.
Anonymous asked if I was pregnant! He or She said I wouldn't say on my blog if I were. Well, that's not quite true. I blabbed right away about Matthew. No, I'm not pregnant. My dad used to ask that when I got migraines. People who don't understand migraines seem to ask that! No, I think three kids are enough for me and dh! :)
Well, that's all for now! Write later! :)

The Quote on My Starbucks Cup
I never really look at the quotes on the cup, but decided to read it today...
The Way I See It #291
In a world where celebrity equals
talent, and where make-believe is
called reality, it is most important
to have real love, truth and stability
in your life

New Name - New Template
I've decided to change my name and template. I've also decided to stop whining about where I live and embrace it. Ok, so I would prefer to live up North where they have seasons, where there is Fall, but it's not going to happen, at least not anytime soon! So, I'm going to embrace where I live, a place where many people travel to from all around the world to visit. I'm done whining - it does no good! :)

Slump
I'm in a slump. I haven't stitched in days. I think I'm just depressed. I miss my dh. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster ride. Happy and up on the weekend and down during the week. I'm really trying to be happy and strong during the week for my kids, but sometimes it's so hard. I've discovered it's really bad on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I'm trying to be more aware of that and watch my mood.
Well, I don't want to depress anyone else out there - it's just amazing how attached you get after 14 years of marriage! LOL! :) I always considered myself so strong. I am, but not as strong as I thought. I didn't realize how much I leaned on my husband for so many things. Anyway, I'll get out of it soon - just writing this makes me feel better. Write later! :)
Update - Thank you all so much for your kind words! I went to the Dr. and came back to 10 wonderful emails! You don't know what it means to me! Thank you again! :)
