A Little More Cherry Hill

I worked on Cherry Hill some last night and today. I've mostly been stitching grass. I'm almost done with that thankfully!

CCN Cherry Hill as of 2/19/08

Of course I had to make a matching fob! I need my head examined! LOL! :) Well, not much else going on here. Just hanging out with the kids! Write later!

Fun Day!

I met Deb and her daughter Jessica yesterday at Golden Needle in Port Charlotte. We had so much fun looking at all the goodies. We stayed until they closed at noon and then we went to eat at Chili's. It was so nice just to get away from it all! I got a Lizzie Kate chart and a new pair of Dovo scissors.

Valentine Fob

I put my Valentine's fob that I made the other day on them. :) When I got back I thought I'd go to the LNS near me because Golden Needle was out of size 26 needles and they didn't carry the threaders I use. Well, of course I couldn't just go in for what I was needing. I got the new Just Nan chart "Memories" and the freebie with the bead pack. I think this new chart is so pretty!

New Stash

We're at my in-laws right now. I'm hoping maybe, possibly that dh and I can get away on our own for a little bit. We'll see! :) Write later!

Fobs

I thought I'd share some pics of my recent fobs.

The last fob is a recreation of one I made before for these scissors (I gave the original to Karen). I found this big heart clasp and it works great for thick handled scissors like these Ginghers. Lately I have been using sterling silver findings because I want my fobs to last a little longer than they have been. I don't know if it's the humidity or what, but they seem to tarnish fast down here in Florida. So we'll see if it works! I wonder if they do start to tarnish if I can just use silver polish? Something to look in to. I'm such a newbie at beading that I really don't know too much. Write later! :)

P.S. I've been cleaning out my cross stitch a little. Here's a link to what I have for sale!
Cross Stitch For Sale. Sold Out, but I hope to be adding more soon!

A Few More Trees

I haven't been stitching too much. I've kind of gone fob crazy the past couple of days. The bead shop has captivated me! It's just too tempting and sparkly going in there to come out empty handed. I did get a little bit stitched on P&P.

Along with making fobs I coffee-dyed some more linen. I may try doing a couple more pieces again when I have more time to see if I can get them a little darker. The best way for me is to just do them in the sink and poor the coffee over them. I tried simmering them with grounds, but they turned out a little grey.

My dh is coming home tomorrow for about nine days! He has a trial that he has to testify in from when he arrested someone down here. So they are giving him off for that and his supervisor told him he didn't have to come back until Christmas when he goes on duty as a duty agent. That when they get their cases. And then I'll be going up there with kids for a week on the 29th. :)

Well, not much else going on. Matthew is sick. He's caught a bug of some kind. He's had a fever, coughing and runny nose. I just gave him some tylenol, so hopefully he'll go to sleep soon. The poor thing.

I'll leave you a pic of some of my fobs. I guess I need to put some up for sale, but I just hate to part with any of them. I get so attached! LOL! :) Write later!

Bored

You know I'm bored when I post twice in one day! I should be stitching, I want to be stitching, but I'm not, hmmm.... Anyway, I decided to try coffee dyeing some fabric. I really like how it turned out!

I just let soak in some coffee for about 15 minutes. I sprinkled some salt in the with it. I rinsed it out some, not too much. I didn't want to lose the color. That happened to me before. Anyway, I'm happy with it! The fabric was white Belfast and Cashel linen.

I also went to the bead store by my house today and picked up some beads. I made this fob for myself today. They had these crystals together in a pack and I fell in love. They are more autumn than winter, but I think they're pretty!

I also stopped by my LNS today. I really only needed threaders, but something else jumped in my hands...

Well, that's all. I'm going to stay away from the computer and fabric and anything else distracting! Write later (not today)! :)

A Tiny New Start!

I was inspired by Anita's very cute LHN "Garden Pleasures" pinkeep that I decided to start it this weekend also! I'm stitching it over one on 25 ct. Lambswool Jobelan. I'm liking it so far! :)

I don't have much done yet, just the border. I hope to get more finished tonight! I feel like I'm finally coming out of my slump. My excitement for my stitching has returned! :) I went to a couple of Joann's this weekend looking for the new Ashley Ginghers and I finally found them! I was so excited! I made a fob to match last night!

I had originally made an all purple fob, but decided I wanted a little pink to liven it up some! :) Well, Matthew is fussing, so I'd better go! Write later! :)

Fobs!

I went fob crazy today. I made so many that I put some on my trade blog. It was very hard to part with any of them! My favorite one I made today is a 4th of July fob. I was going to stitch a fob and then realized I most likely wouldn't get it done in time, so I decided to bead one!

My other favorite is this pink and white one. I took apart an old fob I got from Elegant Stitch years ago and combined it with some new beads I got recently. I love the colors.

And here's a picture of all of them. Aren't they just lovely? It's too bad you can't see how much the crystals sparkle. I love the Swavorskis, which is why I decided to make some fobs just using the crystals and silver beads.

Well, no stitching yet today. I need to clean and then I will be all set to stitch! Write later! :)
