Update

I won Ellen Chester's blog giveaway and the charts came today! I just love them - they're so pretty!

Charts I won from With My Needle

I got Quaker Sampling III and Blairgowrie. Thank you again for the great giveaway Ellen! :)

I worked on Simple Joys a little bit yesterday....

Little House Needleworks "Simple Life"

The fabric is 32 ct. Vintage Buttercream by Lakeside Linen - it's a beautiful color!

This is what has been keeping me away from my stitching....

My New Nook!

I just love my new Nook. It's awesome. I love the fact that unlike a Kindle I can download books from the library on it. My library in Florida (still have my card) just added over 200 ebooks. I was so excited to see that. I just started reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which I got from the library. The case I got for it is a M-Edge Platform Jacket with light.

Well, my darling, sweet, three year old has just destroyed the house, so I won't be stitching or reading, I'm going to be cleaning! Yeah, me! Write soon! :)

Finally Stitching!

I went to Amy's on Saturday and we decided to start the new LHN "Simple Joys." I got the border finished and started on the words.

This is not the greatest picture, but you get the idea. :) write soon!

Shores Block Four Progress

I haven't been stitching too much this week. I've been too busy playing with my new phone. :) I do have a little progress on Shores to share.

This block seems like it's going to be a fun block. There are a lot of color changes, but the colors are pretty!

Well, nothing really going on here. Just hanging out with the kids. Write soon! :)

Sampler of Stitches Part 8 Finished!

I got part eight finished up today after ripping a few specialty stitches more than once. Chain stitches and I just don't get along!! But I finally got them in and left them in no matter what they looked like.

Sampler of Stitches as of 5/10/10
Au Ver a Soie Silks, 32 ct. Vintage Bisque linen.

I also worked on Paradise Lost a little bit today. I worked on the tree next to the giraffe, but there wasn't enough progress to take a picture. I ended up putting it away to work on Sampler of Stitches again. I'm addicted to this sampler! :) Write soon!

I worked on this after I posted yesterday. I'm loving it - all the specialty stitches are so much fun.

I Hope everyone has wonderful Mother's Day weekend! I don't have any plans. I just plan to stitch... and maybe get some of Carrabbas Chicken Marsala for dinner. Oh yum, I can taste it now! :)

Shores Block #8 Finished!

I finished up block #8 on Shores of Hawk Run Hollow today. This block took a lot of time because it's almost solid stitching. I was going to change the name and date, but got lazy and decided to stitch it as is. :)

DSC_0001

DSC_0003
40 ct. Summer Khaki (over-dyed with Tan Rit Dye), NPI silks (1 over 2).

The only thing I didn't stitch is the rigging. I decided to wait until the end because I'm afraid I will snag my finger on it. I pulled the threads for block #4 today. They're so pretty! I'm going to either get started on it or work on Sampler of Stitches some more.

Cynthia asked what colors I'm using for SoS. I'm using all the recommended Au Ver a Soie colors except I changed 3815 to 3813 and 4231 to 4232.
