I worked on "Embroidery Guild" a little bit more yesterday and then I decided I wanted to stitch something with some pink in it! So I started "Quilting" by LHN from the new Little Women series.

Little Women - Quilting

I think the fabric I'm using is 32 ct. Vintage Lentil by Lakeside Linens. It was a scrap I found in my stash. And here is my little progress pic on EG. I only got a little bit of the third lady's dress stitched.

Embroidery Guild as of 6/26/08

I have been trying to keep fresh flowers in the house. They just cheer me up so much. I bought a bouquet of colorful carnations yesterday and picked out the pink ones for a smaller bouquet for next to my bed or desk. Here's one of the bright pink carnations...

Carnation

We are driving down to Florida today to visit our families. We'll be staying until Monday, and I won't have access to the internet, so I'll have another update probably Tuesday. See you then! :)

I got quite a bit stitched on "Embroidery Guild" yesterday. I woke up with a migraine, so I didn't do much of anything, but stitch. :)

Embroidery Guild as of 6/25/08

I also finally decided on the fabric for "Little House Neighborhood." I'm going with my favorite - 32 ct. Vintage Examplar. Dh also said he liked that one the best, so that confirmed it! :)

LHN "Little House Neighborhood" Threads and 32 ct. Vintage Examplar

I may go to a yarn shop today in downtown Charleston, if my dh can get home early enough that is. They have knit nights every Thursday, and I thought that would be a fun thing to do. I could buy some yarn to knit a sock or two and meet some new people. We'll see if it works out! Write later!

More Embroidery Guild

I have been stitching some. Not as much as I would like, but I think once I get more into a routine here it will be better. Here's my little progress pic...

LHN "Embroidery Guild" as of 6/24/08

I have also been kitting the new "Little House Neighborhood," which I should be getting from Amy very soon! :) I just can't decided which fabric to use! I've narrowed it down to four. If you can call that narrowed down. The four are Vintage Meadow Rue, Vintage Examplar, Vintage Light Examplar and Light Examplar. I think I'm going to have hubby decide when he gets home, I just can't! Here's a pic of the threads on Vintage Meadow Rue (this picture is light, the fabric is actually much darker than this).

Well, not much else! Write later!

I went stitching at Amy's yesterday and had a ton of fun! It was so nice to get out of the house. Unfortunately I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pics. :( I do have a pic of the stash I got though! :) Amy let us go shopping in the huge Down Sunshine Lane stash room! It was a blast! Here's what I got...

I also decided to start "Embroidery Guild" the other day, so I stitched on that a little bit yesterday...

I don't have much to show - Just the border. We took the kids to a park today and about died in the heat. It's just as hot as Florida, if not hotter! I'll be happy when fall comes! :) Well, I'm going to try to stitch some more! Write later!

The Rain Fell Finished!

I finally got it finished up today! I was in a little slump trying to get back into my stitching routine. I have also been missing my big Ott-Lite. I left it in Florida because we just didn't have any more room to take it with us. I will get it in a week or so when I go back down. I was just all out of sorts. I had gotten used to the one place I always stitched and the one light I always used. It was just weird! Anyway, I got out a different light and it is ok. It's not my favorite, but it will do until I get my other one back. I'll never leave it again! :) LOL! Anyway, here are a couple of pics of "The Rain Fell."

I loved stitching this one. It was a lot of fun. I'm thinking of starting Embroidery Guild next. :)

I'm Here!

Well, I've been here for a few days now, but I have been unpacking, cleaning, getting organized, etc. I finally have a day where there's not really much I have to do. I do have a few more boxes in my car, but I can get those later. :)

I haven't stitched in what feels like ages now! I'm ready to get back to it! Here's what I stitched on "The Rain Fell" before I left...

And here is one of the first things I unpacked....

We have two walk-in closets in our bedroom. This is what I did with mine...

I can sneak some clothes into my dh's if I have to! :) Well, not much else going on here. Write later - hopefully I'll have some more stitching to share!

Huh?

Did I really say I would have a peaceful night tonight?? Matthew has caught a cold and has been up every half hour. My cat, who is usually quiet, has been meowing all night. What is going on? I finally gave up trying to sleep. I go to get on the computer and see it's Friday the 13th. I'm not normally a superstitious person, but that's just freaky! :)

Well, since I am awake I can share a little stash I got today...

I stopped by my LNS to pick up the latest BBD Loose Feather after getting an email that it was in. I also got the fabric for it along with a few threads...

BBD "Blessings and Kind Wishes" with Fabric and some of the threads.

I love the thread colors in this design. I think they are so pretty. Well, Matthew is awake again. It's going to be a long night. Don't let me jinx myself like that again!! :)

The Rain Fell

I have been stitching some. I packed and cleaned pretty much all day yesterday. After I did all I could I took a bath and stitched! I'm getting so excited about moving. Just two days now! Can it really be? Anyway, here is my latest progress pic. I would have had more to show, but I had to frog quite a bit the other day. I should not stitch when I'm tired! :)

I hope to get more stitching done tonight. My mom is going to watch the boys, so I will have a peaceful night. Write later! :)

A Finish and a Start!

I finished up "Comfort" yesterday!

LHN "Comfort"
Little House Needleworks "Comfort"
Fabric: 32 ct. Vintage Navy Bean
Threads: Crescent Colours
Started: 6/5/08 - Finished 6/8/08

And I started "The Rain Fell."

LHN "The Rain Fell"

I'm loving the Vintage Tundra by Lakeside Linens I chose for it. I think it's such a pretty color. :) We are still trying to recover from the birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, or at least I am. That place wears me out! I couldn't even go stitching at Martha's yesterday I was so worn out! Hopefully I get some energy soon. I've got to get packing! :)

They're Here!

I'm so excited the new LHN and CCN charts are here! I love them all! :) I think I'm going to start "The Rain Fell" after I finish up "Comfort!"

New CCN & LHN charts
CCN "Joyful Summer," LHN "Embroidery Guild" and "The Rain Fell"

Comfort

After I finished "Moire" I was wandering around wondering what I should start next. I worked on "Happy Home Sampler" a little bit, but I wasn't enjoying it. I then got out "Brave Hearts" and worked on that a little bit, but I wasn't enjoying that either. So I went looking through my patterns and found "Comfort."

LHN "Comfort"

After the first stitch I knew it was right. I stitched on it until 10:30 last night, until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer! :)

Well, my dh is coming home tonight and then my ds is having a birthday party tomorrow. He's going to be eight! I just can't believe that. It seems like yesterday I was in the hospital holding him in my arms.

Moire Finished!

I finally got "Moire" finished today! It was a fun stitch, but now I'm ready to get back to my LHNs! I've missed them! :)

Fabric Dyeing and Kitting

I'm still in a kitting mood. It must be like a moving/nesting thing. I'm getting ready for a new life and this how I prepare? Who knows what I'm thinking.

I went to my photoshop class and had a ton of fun. I learned more last night than any of the previous nights. I decided to upload a new template and I was playing with the header - trying different colors and fonts and shadows. I'll have to fix my sidebar items, but I'll have time to do that tonight or tomorrow. My citiwifi service has been touch and go. To upload any files I have to go out on the dock where I get the best service. My neighbors must think I'm nuts! :)

I was looking for some fabric to use for America (a pattern I just got from Amy at Down Sunshine Lane). Amy is going to be my neighbor soon! Well not really since she's about an hour and a half away, but it's better than not knowing anyone! I'm going to her house for a stitch-in later in June. I can't wait for that! I'm even thinking about going to the retreat they have at Myrtle Beach. We'll have to see how our financial situation is after we move though. It's going to be tight! I really want to go because Jane Timmers is going to be teaching this class, which I love!! Anyway, back to the fabric. I decided to dye some natural belfast using some tan rit dye. I really like how it turned out and I think it will be perfect for America.

This picture is a little light. But you get the idea...

I also kitted a couple Barbara Ana designs. I have yet to make a biscornu, but I'm determined to do so in the near future!

I used the bunny thread drops for this one since there are bunnies in the pattern. :)

Well, that's all for now. I'm still working on "Moire." I hope to have it finished soon! Write later!

More "Moire"

I didn't stitch much last night. I spent most of the day cleaning. Ugh. I cleaned my mom's part of the house because she's been busy painting her new house and moving, so I thought I'd be nice and help her out here. There was a ton of sweeping to do because she has two dogs. I don't think I will ever get another dog after yesterday. They are just too much work! Maybe a nice short haired kitty when we eventually move back to Florida. I also have internet again. I tried to go without it, but it was just too hard. I didn't realize how much I relied on it! Anyway, I do have a progress pic of "Moire" to share. I'm really loving it! I don't have too much more to stitch on it.

Well, I've got to get back to work. I am so behind! Write later! :)

I've been Stitching!

It's amazing what you can accomplish when there's no internet to distract you!

I finished my Lizzie Kate design for Habitat for Humanity...

Lizzie Kate Home is Where our Story Begins

I got Sweet Treats up to date...

Sweet Treats - four blocks finished!

Ice Cream - Sweet Treats block #4 finished.

And I decided to work on "Moire" the freebie by Pelin Tezer (using my hand-dyed pink fabric)...

Moire Again

I've actually got a lot more stitched on it now because I worked on it all day yesterday. I will try to post a new picture tomorrow.

I also got an order from Shepherd's Bush yesterday! I was so surprised to get it so fast. I ordered it just a few days ago.

My Shepherd's Bush order

I ordered their 2008 Fob kit and a Snap Wrap! I don't use Q-Snaps that often, but I think these are so cute. I thought I would give it a try!

My Snap Wrap around my Q-Snap

I'm sitting outside the library again. I tried Dunkin Donuts, but I couldn't pick up their signal. Well, I'd better go. I have to pick my boys from my mom's new house. I let them stay the night there last night. Write later!
