Myrtle Beach

I had so much fun in Myrtle Beach!  The time went by way too fast.  It was so great to see my old friends and meet new ones.  The weather was gorgeous pretty much the whole time I was there...

View from Tanya's Room

Only, I didn't get down to the beach much.  I was too busy chatting and stitching.  I worked on Charlotte Clayton a little bit...

And I worked on a very sweet freebie that Tanya (The Scarlett House) designed for us.

I also picked up Christmastide from Tanya's booth (which I'm sad to say I don't have any pictures of) and this sweet little needlework set.

Amy, once again put together a wonderful retreat and I can't wait for next year.  I'll leave you with a picture of the goodies from our registration pack.  It was chock full of great things!  If you're reading this Amy, thanks again for all you do!  I only wish I had gotten more pictures (all that talking and stitching got in the way)! :)

A Finish and a Get Together

I finished up Karen's Prairie Schooler block yesterday. It only took about nine months to finish!!

My stitching buddies for the day, Donna and Judy, they are going to Victoria, British Columbia for the last Victoria Sampler retreat!

I'll definitely have to remember to take more pictures next time! Now, I need to get started on Amy or Faye's square. I need to keep going, so it doesn't take nine more months (I don't think they'd appreciate that too much)! :) Write soon!

Stitching With Friends

I went up to Manning, SC on Saturday to meet up with my stitching pals. We had such a blast and you can see lots of pictures on Amy, Faye, and Charlene's blog.

We did an ornament exchange and a small gift exchange. I forgot to take a picture of my ornament. I stitched the bonus pattern from the LHN All is Calm ornament - using Natalie's changes.

The ornament I received was Amy's!

I love it! I love how she finished it - it's just beautiful! I also got Amy's gift (no, it wasn't rigged)! :)

Lots of great items were in it - threads, a threader, magnet, gold needles, frogging needle, ornament form and ornament pattern. Thank you Amy! I love it all! :)

And speaking of Amy - I got a little bit of stash from DSL the other day. I couldn't resist the new sheepie Kelmscot magnet. I also got some 30 ct. R&R, and a very sweet Repro pattern by Beehive Needleworks.

A little new stash

I ended up restarting my "Holly and Ivy Sampler" while up in Manning and I'm so glad I did. I'm really enjoying it!

Well, my two older boys are getting ready to start wrestling for the first time tonight. I'm excited and little nervous for them. Maybe I shouldn't go??? :) Write soon!

Fun Day of Stitching

I went to Manning, SC for a stitching get together yesterday and had so much fun. It was so nice to get away (by myself) for a day.

Amy from Down Sunshine Lane planned a wonderful day for us at The French Hens, an adorable restaurant in downtown Manning.

We stitched for awhile and then they served a delicious lunch (I had a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant) and then we stitched some more. I was working on shores and I made a little progress on block 11.

Sorry for the not so great photos - they were taken with my camera. I will try to get some better stitching pics later today. This get together was just what I needed to get me out of my slump. When I got home I worked on shores some more and then I decided to start something new. I started Lizzie Kate's ABC's of Aging Artfully (which I think should actually be called "Life Lessons Two").

It's such a cute design. I'm using 40 ct. Vintage Pearled Barley by Lakeside Linens and I'm changing some of the colors. I'll post more about it when I can. Well, it's almost 5 am (I woke up around 3 something) and I can't get back to sleep - thanks to a four year old who has trouble staying in his own bed! :) Write soon!

Camp Stitch-A-Way

It's day two of camp and I'm having a blast! The place we're staying at is so nice and so spacious. And the lighting is terrific! I escaped for a little bit and went shopping and decided to come to Panera to get online. I found a great spot - a big comfy chair in the corner. It has a cup holder and little table to put your laptop on. I could live here. :) I took several pictures and I'm in the process of putting them online. I did finish "Heart of America" yesterday, so I was very excited about that!

Well, I got all the pictures online now. Click here to check them out! I'm going to take more pictures, but probably won't update until Monday or Tuesday (I know I'm going to be busy)! Write later! :)

Back from Stitching!

I had a lot of fun at Martha's today (as always)! I was only disappointed that Deb and her daughter Jessica couldn't make it. They were missed very much!!! I got a little bit more stitched on "Heart of America"

Heart of America as of 4/6/08

I also took some pictures of some things the other ladies were working on...

It's so awesome the variety of needlwork projects that were being worked on. It's such a great group of ladies. I will miss them when I move, but I still hope to make it down once in a while to stitch with them!
