I'm Tired!

I should be sleeping, but this is the first time I've really had to myself today, so I'm blogging. My eyes are too tired to stitch right now. I tried stitching earlier, but it was on 36 ct. and it just wasn't working! I did get Watermelon finished up yesterday! Only took ten days! Remember last month when I stitched Quaker Garden in ten days??? :) Anyway, here's my scan (crooked of course)...

I've decided I wanted to stitch Raspberry Patch next...

CCN Raspberry Patch

The fabric is 32 ct. R&R Sheep's Straw and the threads are Crescent Colours, Weeks, and DMC. Well, I don't think I can stay up too much longer. My eyes are drooping and I'll be amazed if there aren't 25 typos in this post. I'll fix em tomorrow if there are! :) Here's a picture of Matthew I took a couple days ago. I can't believe he's five weeks already!

edited to fix title typo - I wrote "I'm tried" instead of "I'm Tired!"

I found the LNS!

We went to the in-laws again and I found the cross stitch shop this time! I went a little crazy because it's been quite awhile since I've been in an actual shop! They have Stitch-ins on Thursdays, so I'm going to try to go one of these weeks! Here's what I got...

I got a little stitching done on Watermelon. I stitched in the car on the way to and from the in-laws and a little bit at the DMV while waiting to get my license on Friday.

Watermelon - as of 8/19/06

Well, not much else going on here... I caught a little cold - sore throat, sneezing, etc. So I'm going to lay down for a little bit (or stitch) while the baby is taking a nap! Write later! :)

Some more long awaited stash...

I ordered a few things from Stitching Bits & Bobs last month when we were still in Georgia and it finally arrived. I like SB&B, but they are so slow to ship things out!

CCN Raspberry Patch and Sampler Threads.
Country Cottage Needlworks "Raspberry Patch" and some threads.

The orange and black Sampler Threads are for the CHN Alphabet I started last month and the Pink Crescent Colour thread (Prickly Pear) is for Raspberry Patch. I love how Cecile's Raspberry Patch from Mon blog de brodeuse turned out. I would love to start this one after I finish Watermelon (whenever that will be)! :)

I have been too busy to get any stitching done the last few days. I was running around all day yesterday and I really need to be getting my FL DL today, but I may wait until Monday. Maybe I'll go by and see how long the lines are. I really don't feel like waiting a long time. I also have to get a new SS card. I don't know what happened to mine! I must have lost it somewhere. So frustrating! Well, not much else going on... just adjusting to life in Florida (and living with my mom, which isn't always easy). I'll write more later! Here's a latest pic of Matthew...

Stash, smiles, and more!

I think Mary Kathryn from Happy Stitcher is so talented! She also owns Handcrafts Online and sells finishing kits for the Crescent Colours/Little House Needlework collaboration kits. I love the fabrics she has chosen, so I ordered the fabrics for Watermelon and Pear, and ordered Apples along with the finishing kit. It came so fast! I was so excited to receive it all in the mail today!

The smiles part of this post is Matthew smiled at me the other day! I couldn't believe it! At first I thought I imagined it, but then he did it again yesterday and today! I'll have to get a picture of it soon!

The more part is I started working for my brother this week. He started a construction company building retaining walls around Florida last year and needed help doing his bookkeeping. So I started helping him. I've only worked about 10 hours whenever Bradley's at school and the other two are taking naps. It's been fun! I'm a computer/accounting nerd, so I love this type of work. Much better than retail! It's a little hard to work from home, so I put the program on my laptop, that way I can escape every once in a while! :)

Well, baby is crying, so I'd better go! Write more later... maybe I'll get to stitch on Watermelon, and have a progress pic to share!

Watermelon

I decided to start Watermelon next. I got a little start on it. I finished the border, but that's all I've been able to do!

I didn't get much done because we had a busy weekend. We went to the In-Laws Saturday. I didn't make it to the cross stitch shop because we couldn't find it. I didn't take the map I printed. I know where it is now though, so I'll be going soon. Sunday, my brother came over and the kids and dh went out on his boat. Here's some pictures of them...

I thought they looked so cute! My mom (on the deck) bought the matching lifejackets and hats for them. They had fun - saw dolphins and pelicans! :) I think they're going to like living in Florida!

And here's the latest picture of Matthew...

Matthew 3 1/2 weeks - sleeping in his carseat. 8/13/06.
3 1/2 weeks

Sleeping in his carseat! :) He's getting bigger, some of his onesies are already getting too small. :( They grow so fast! Speaking of growing my oldest baby (6 year old) has a loose tooth! That doesn't seem possible! He was so proud of it too! Well, I've got to change a poopy diaper, so I'll write more later!

Pear is finished!

Wow! I actually finished something! Matthew seems to take long morning naps and that's when I got Pear finished up today. Sorry the scan is crooked, I just cannot scan straight!

28 ct. Summer Khaki Cashel Linen
Crescent Colours Threads

Bradley, my six year old, made it through his first week of school. So we are gradually settling in. I miss Georgia a lot though. More than I thought I would. But Florida is nice too... hot, but nice. :) I'm going to go to Lasting Impressions tomorrow. It's a very nice cross stitch shop in Dunedin. I can't wait! :) Well, not much else...write more later!

20 days!

Matthew is 20 days today! He has been fussy the past couple of days, so I haven't done much but comfort the baby. I did get some stitching done on "Pear" during a couple of his morning naps...

Little House Needleworks

I received some long awaited stash yesterday! Who knows when I'll find the time to stitch any of it, but it was still fun to get it in the mail down here!

New Stash! 8/8/06
LHN Watermelon and Blossoms & Blackbirds, CHN Matter's Choice, and Brightneedle's Dollhouse.

Of course I have to leave you with a picture of the baby... this was taken this morning when he was sleeping peacefully for a little bit...

close up of sweet baby Matthew.

Thank you to everyone for all your kind comments! I read them all, and don't always have time to respond, but they mean so much to me! Thank you again! Write more soon! :)

I'm still here!

I've been reading, but not able to type because I've usually got my hands full! Speaking of which... the baby on cue just woke up from his nap! We had a rough day yesterday. He didn't want to nap at all.. just wanted to nurse all day. He finally fell asleep about 10:30 pm. I couldn't figure it out! Here are the latest pictures of Matthew...

Boppy Time - 8/2/06 - 2 weeks.

I stitched a teeny bit today - here's my little progress pic of LHN's Pear...

Pear

Grandma is holding the baby right now - she's giving me a little break. His little infection is all cleared up. Hopefully he is over it! Dh comes back down to Florida tomorrow - he had to finish up his last week of work in Georgia. We'll have to go back up sometime to get our house ready to sell. We need to do some painting, etc. I wish I could snap my fingers and have it done! :) Well, not much else - maybe I can work on Pear a little more today! :)
