In honor of our first, most likely last snow of the year I started Shepherd's Bush's Patriotic Snowman. It's turning out so cute, I just love this little guy, or gal because she does have pink flowers on her.

Well, I think I'm done for the night! I think my baby is turning the corner, and is finally feeling better. When my kids are sick it stresses me out more than anything in the world. Nothing is more important than them and their well being. I mean nothing!!! Good night!! :)
Another small finish! I finished Lizzie Kate's Feb. Block. I ordered March and April today from Elegant Stitch. They're fun little designs. Not much to report. Jake is sick again. The poor thing. Hopefully he's feeling better by Saturday when I go to my stitch-in. I hate to leave him if he's sick!!

Well, here's the pic....

February Flip-It Block

I worked on my marriage sampler a little bit yesterday. It was nice to work with silks again. Mmmm, mmm! :) Oh I almost forgot, we woke up to blanket of snow! It was beautiful! Unfortunately I didn't have any film and my digi cam is still at my friends house. I really need to get that!! Well, that's all for now!!! :)

I decided to start something new yesterday. Do you think I'm avoiding my sampler?? :) I finished my new project this morning. It's the 2004 shop exclusive scissor fob from Shepherd's Bush. It was a quick finish and I'm very happy with how it turned out. My first SB fob was a mess!! :)

Here's the front....

And here's the back...

The scissor are Gingher and are engraved. On one side they say Shepherd's Bush on the other it has 2004. Very pretty and fun! :) After I finished the stitching on this one last night I started Lizzie Kate's February Block. I'm on a roll! :)

P.S. for some reason my blog is not updating after I publish!! Arghh!!!

I finished my Heart Treat Bag!! It's a little long, so I may shorten it some. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out though. Now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to get back to my marriage sampler or if I want to start something new?? Hmm... I just can't decide. I got in touch with the shop that hadn't sent out my love pattern and they had a bunch of problems happen, so they'll be sending it out Monday. It's just very frustrating, I wish I would've just gone to my LNS to get it. Oh well, live and learn. My LNS is hurting because of the internet. If they weren't so Anti-Internet it wouldn't be a problem for them, but they are. I would love to set up a website for them, I could go down there a few days a week and get the orders together and ship them out. But I don't know what they would think of that. I know it would increase their business. Should I ask? Should I keep quiet? Who knows?? Anyways, here's the pic of my bag...

Shepherd's Bush "Heart Treat Bag"

So much for decluttering!! After we got back from Florida everything was just thrown here and there because we were too tired to unpack properly. Oh well!! Well, I still haven't received my Love pattern. I ordereded it from a certain online shop that I swore I wouldn't buy from again. Well, I thought I would give them one more chance, big mistake!! I definitely learned my lesson!! I'm going to email the shop today if it's still not here after the mail comes. Anyways, I've been working on SB's Heart Treat Bag. I'm feeling crafty because I just want to stitch!! Unfortunately laundry, dishes and cleaning calls!! That's all for now!!

I just got back from Florida last night. We had to go down for my dh's Grandmother's memorial service. We are becoming pros at packing up the kids and driving down. The kids are really good in the car too. I'm glad my dh was able to go to the service. He hadn't seen his grandma in a long time, but has lots of good memories of her from when he was little.

I was good and finished up Peace before I started anything new. I'm now working on Shepherd's Bush's Heart Treat Bag. I wanted to get it done for Valentine's Day, but it just didn't happen. Here's my pic of Mary Garry's Sewing Cabin's Peace...

Mary Garry's Peace

That's all for now!! Going to open a box I received from SB while I was away... fun, fun!! :)

I want to stitch something... but I don't know what I want to stitch!! Maybe I just need to go through my stash and decide!! :) Too bad I haven't received my "Love" from Shepherd's Bush yet. That would be a fun and quick stitch. Oh well, hopefully it will be here soon. I'll probably just get back to my peace sampler. It's about 1/2 done now. Not much else going on here!

Well, instead of working on my TMOM, I decieded to start something new! I started Peace by Mary Garry's Sewing Cabin. I'm stitching it on R&R Reporductions 32 ct. House Blend and using DMC 221. It's not as antique looking as the picture, but I like it! Here's the WIP pic.

It's stitching up pretty quick, and I'm loving it so far! My first Quaker style sampler, I'm so excited!! :)

One more little finish! :)

January Flip-It Block
Lizzie Kate's January Flip-It Block

I finished last night after the kids were in bed. I started watching Lord of the Rings because I hadn't seen it yet, and it's really good so far. I signed up with netflix and I like it because there's no time limit on how long you have the movies out. Between the kids and work it will sometimes take a few days to watch a whole movie. Well, not much else going. I think I'm going to get my marriage sampler back out and try to finish up the top part within the next week or so. That's all for now!!

Monday, February 02, 2004

Well no wonder I kept running out of the green in my marriage sampler! It's supposed to be done in a half stitch! Oops!! I'm the worst at reading the instructions before I just start doing something!! I started my Lizzie Kate January Flip-it block yesterday at work. I didn't get much done because we got really busy before the Super bowl was getting ready to start. So being the nice person that I am I clocked in early. Jake has been so fussy and not wanting to sleep by himself. I actually accidently knocked him off the bed last night. He was fine, it scared me more than him. We definitely need a king size bed for when we have sick kids!! Well, not much else... still trying to wake up! Ohh coffee, I love you!! :)

Sunday, February 01, 2004

Well, I had a lot of fun at the stitch-in yesterday. It's great to be able to talk to a group of people, and they understand your obsession!! Most people just look at me like I'm nuts!! I was able to get Shepherd's Bush Snow finished...

Shepherd's Bush Snow

It was a nice break from MOM because it's on 10 ct. Heatherfield. Very easy on the eyes and it stitched up so quick. Well not much else. We are all sick again! I just love the winter months! LOL!
