Another One

This is another one I'm thinking about stitching. It's Blackbird Designs "Maude Eloise 1891."

BBD Maude Eloise

I had actually bought this pattern a long time ago and then sold it. I bought it again recently - it's funny how my tastes go through phases. I think seeing this finish by Cristina made me realize how much I like it! The linen I'm thinking of using is 32 ct. French Vanilla (I think) by R&R (it's the fabric that was in my Family Sampler kit).

Well, not really any stitching today either. I have been working on Miss Lila's House a little bit, but don't have much to show. Well, I'd better start getting dinner ready. Write soon!

  1. I have this chart in my stash which I think I bought almost 3 years ago. Look forward to seeing your progress. I have a BBD to start soon which I'm looking forward to called Mildred's Garden.

  3. I love this whole series by BBD and want to stitch them all someday, maybe make them into a quilt or something. But of course that's just a dream. :D

  4. I know how the tastes can go back and forth. I'm currently having that struggle destashing - don't want to get rid of something that next year I'm going to have to rebuy from someone. But I love this pattern and the threads are gorgeous. It's going to be a really pretty piece.

  5. I'm so with you on the changing tastes comment. I've gotten rid of patterns at times . . . only to buy them back later. Now I'm afraid to get rid of any of my patterns for fear that I'll suddenly have to stitch one that's been languishing.

  7. You can't go wrong with a BlackBird Design, really. They are all so wonderful. I haven't gotten much stitching done lately either--need to get on the ball!

  8. Hi Nicole, I don't think I've ever seen that BB before. It's funny how we get inspired when someone else is stitching something.

  9. Oh you make me laugh, Nicole! You sound like you are in one of those itchy moods to find just the right thing. And while so many things look good you want one that's absolutely grabs you...right? I've been there too.

This is a lovely chart and the fibers are gorgeous. It's so much more enticing when you see something on someone else's blog. I find these look far more interesting!

    Well, have fun!
