I was hit recently too, so I know how you ate feeling! Hopefully you'll be left alone now!
LOL, Nicole. I knew somehow that when I got the email from "you" in Spain that it wasn't quite real.
I know; I got the mail from you. I was pretty sure what it was, but some wild hair made me open it anyway! (Hope it didn't capture my own address book!) I have really got to be less daring. "Oh, it'll be fine because I know what it is!" Glad to know you are not really trapped in Madrid. Whatta relief! (<--Sarcasm Font)
This was a new ploy I had never seen before! (I didn't get an email, but it was sent as a message to one of the Yahoo groups I read.)What a PITA.
So glad you weathered the attack and are back on-line.
It happens, no worries! (It is a pain in the butt, though.)
Someone hacked my credit card and took about 200.00 off and I had to cancel that and my bank had to go after it. One charge was to a place back east to take a test to get a degree and the other was for a prisoner in a jail account. I finally got it refunded but it took about 10 days. Not sure how it happened but have it in one of those metal wallet containers. Lots of scumbags out there huh. Glad you got your email and blog fixed.
I didnt get the email but I had a couple people quickly email me asking my opinion of this was really true or not....I knew not because if you had REALLY gone to Madrid, I was going to be really upset with you for not taking me along~!~ Ya know.... Glad you are ok, sorry your email was pirated... I need your cell phone number so I can tex you next time you "take a trip" like this!!! Really...what a pain to have to deal with............Take care, Faye
Glad to see you back - and so sorry this has happened to you (*@!#^%&**% hackers!!)
Thankfully you were able to restore your blog. Some really strange things have been happening. I too have some worrisome things happen. It makes one wonder, "what on earth is going on here?"
I got scam message from your address, tryed write email (came back and via blog, didn't found it...) so happy that everything seems good now :)Just wanted to tell that got my new kits yesterday, thank you :)
Glad to see you back.Clare
did you change your password???
I thought it was strange that I recv'd an email from you stating that you were in Madrid and needed money...nice!! Glad to hear you aren't in Madrid and don't need my money....I mean it would be nice if you were in Madrid...you know what I mean...Happy Stitching!
Glad to have you back Nicole!
I got the email as well - I am glad you are back as I was unable to access your blog until now !!!!!I have received similar emails from other bloggers - These hackers need to find something else to do
I thought wow how nice to be in Spain - then I realized she's not in Spain she has been hacked. It is definitely disconcerting when it happens.
I'm having all sorts of problems, mostly my comments don't show and only half the photos appear!
Geeze...what a mess. When I got the email from you from Madrid I knew what had happened. I tried to send an email but you had already put a stop to it. At least we're all pretty much aware of this type of scam. Glad you're OK !! Hugs
I got it !! but figured it could not be you, i waited for you to go online and then tweeted you lol But must admit in the back of my head i was thinking ...what if she is and i just ignored it? happy to see its all back to normal =D
I got your email! tee hee.I got hacked awhile back too. My username and password were taken. Someone was kind enough to send me an email telling me this, and that I might want to change my password. The only "harm" to come from it is that I get tons of spam now. I was going to change my email address next month after our move anyway, but it's still aggravating.
