Family Sampler Finished!

I finished the stitching last night and put the buttons and charms on today. I'm so happy to have it finished!

Family Sampler Finished

Family Sampler
Shepherd's Bush "Family Sampler" Kit
Fabric: Changed Kit Fabric to 32 ct. Vintage Luna by Lakeside Linens
Threads: AVAS, Gloriana, and Thread Gatherer Silks (all as kitted)
Started: 5/08 - Finished: 1/16/09

I found a few errors in the pattern... the inside flowers in the border on the left side were charted for the wrong color and there was flower missing on the right side. I fixed them all to match the others. Well, I'd better get some sleep - I have to get up early tomorrow because I'm going to Amy's for a relaxing day of stitching! :) Write later!

  7. That is soooo pretty, Nicole!! I hadn't realized that you swapped out the linen--your choice really is perfect--warms up the sampler very nicely. Thanks for the tips on the corrections!

  9. Congrats Nicole on a beautiful finish. I was surprised by the errors in the chart. I was having a real struggle with the cream thread for those special stitches! Hopefully today will be better.

    So, "Sail Away" next?

  18. Nicole, I have been waiting for a while for you to get interested in samplers and family heirlooms. I have a feeling that very soon your projects are going to get larger and more complicated. That wall full of samplers you once posted.....I think a wall like that would really be something in your home. I love framed pieces where everyone can admire the skill of the stitcher. Here is a link to a designer you might not know but that I love. http://www.designsfrompamela.com/
    Keep up the good work.
