Embroidery Guild Finished!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in awhile! I'm back from Florida. I had a nice, relaxing visit. I stitched and read and just hung out. I was going to update yesterday, but I really didn't have too much to share, so I thought I would finish up EG and post a pic then! :) It gave me motivation to get it finished!! :)

Fabric: 30 ct. Creek Bed Brown by R&R
Threads: DMC & Crescent Colours
Started: 6/20/08 - Finished 7/2/08

I have been working on "Quilting" a little bit. Once I finish that up I'd like to start LH Neighborhood. But first I may stitch a little LHN patriotic freebie (Summer House) in honor of the 4th. Write later! :)

I worked on "Embroidery Guild" a little bit more yesterday and then I decided I wanted to stitch something with some pink in it! So I started "Quilting" by LHN from the new Little Women series.

Little Women - Quilting

I think the fabric I'm using is 32 ct. Vintage Lentil by Lakeside Linens. It was a scrap I found in my stash. And here is my little progress pic on EG. I only got a little bit of the third lady's dress stitched.

I have been trying to keep fresh flowers in the house. They just cheer me up so much. I bought a bouquet of colorful carnations yesterday and picked out the pink ones for a smaller bouquet for next to my bed or desk. Here's one of the bright pink carnations...

We are driving down to Florida today to visit our families. We'll be staying until Monday, and I won't have access to the internet, so I'll have another update probably Tuesday. See you then! :)

I got quite a bit stitched on "Embroidery Guild" yesterday. I woke up with a migraine, so I didn't do much of anything, but stitch. :)

I also finally decided on the fabric for "Little House Neighborhood." I'm going with my favorite - 32 ct. Vintage Examplar. Dh also said he liked that one the best, so that confirmed it! :)

I may go to a yarn shop today in downtown Charleston, if my dh can get home early enough that is. They have knit nights every Thursday, and I thought that would be a fun thing to do. I could buy some yarn to knit a sock or two and meet some new people. We'll see if it works out! Write later!

More Embroidery Guild

I have been stitching some. Not as much as I would like, but I think once I get more into a routine here it will be better. Here's my little progress pic...

I have also been kitting the new "Little House Neighborhood," which I should be getting from Amy very soon! :) I just can't decided which fabric to use! I've narrowed it down to four. If you can call that narrowed down. The four are Vintage Meadow Rue, Vintage Examplar, Vintage Light Examplar and Light Examplar. I think I'm going to have hubby decide when he gets home, I just can't! Here's a pic of the threads on Vintage Meadow Rue (this picture is light, the fabric is actually much darker than this).

Well, not much else! Write later!

I went stitching at Amy's yesterday and had a ton of fun! It was so nice to get out of the house. Unfortunately I forgot my camera, so I don't have any pics. :( I do have a pic of the stash I got though! :) Amy let us go shopping in the huge Down Sunshine Lane stash room! It was a blast! Here's what I got...

I also decided to start "Embroidery Guild" the other day, so I stitched on that a little bit yesterday...

I don't have much to show - Just the border. We took the kids to a park today and about died in the heat. It's just as hot as Florida, if not hotter! I'll be happy when fall comes! :) Well, I'm going to try to stitch some more! Write later!
