Little House Neighborhood Finished!!!!

Yeah! I finally did it! I got it finished last night! I stayed up way too late stitching! I ended up leaving the hearts off by the words. I was going to put crows there, but I decided to just leave it plain. The only other changes I made was putting the bunnies on the hill instead of the squirrels. Everything else is as charted.

Getting close...

Little House Neighborhood as of 8/28/08

I'm almost finished with the house and then it's on to the leaves and the rest of the design. I should get it finished up this weekend. Speaking of this weekend, I'm going to Florida. We're leaving today after the boys get out of school. I picked a great weekend to go down.

I'm sure it will be fine. As long as these storms stay on the projected patch I will be fine. Wish me luck!

Bunnies

I have been stitching a little bit on my neighborhood. I couldn't decide what to put next to the girl. I put an orange cat, but I didn't like. I then tried a gray cat, but I didn't like that either. So I went with the original rooster and I liked it better. I was looking through my charts to get some ideas and I saw the bunny from CCN Summer Garden and I thought it might work instead of the squirrels. I got the chart out and counted it and realized it would be a perfect fit. I'm happy with my little bunnies. :)

Well, nothing else going on here. Just enjoying a quiet morning. :) Write later!

P.S. I have a few things listed on ebay. Click here to check them out. :)

Thank You!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has given my an award on their blog. It was so sweet of you all to think of me! I read so many blogs each day (over a hundred), so it would be so hard for me to choose just a few - I love them all! :)

I have been stitching a little bit. I have the grass almost finished on the top portion of my neighborhood. I can't believe I'm getting close to finishing. I have really enjoyed stitching it.

Well, not much else going on here. We're just having a lazy Sunday. Write later! :)

Quaker Faith Hope Love Finished!

I got this finished up last night. This was just what I need a smallish project that I could finish fairly quick.

I also finished the red house on my LH Neighborhood. I just have the top section to do now! :)

Well, not much else going on here. It's been very gray the past couple of days because we have been getting the outer bands of Tropical Storm Fay. I feel so bad for all those dealing with flooding, so I'm not going to complain about a few gray clouds. Write later! :)

Blue House Finished!

I finished up the blue house yesterday and got a start on the red house today.

I'm going to get a start on "Chocolate Box" today. I have less than a week now. Write later! :)

Long Time No Post!

I have been feeling blah lately. I think it's the heat! Anyway, I have been stitching. I finished the tree in the middle of my LH Neighborhood and most of the blue house.

I'm still loving it! I need to get started on "Chocolate Box" because Amy is going to help me with the finishing next weekend when I go stitching at her house. I'm so looking forward to it! I need to get out! :) Write later!

Two Sheep and a Sock

I got just a little bit more stitching done on LHN yesterday...

Two Sheep

And I turned the heel on my sock!

BFF Sock as of 8/3/08

I never did make it the yarn shop yesterday. I should have gone, but I was doing laundry and hanging out with dh and the kids. Maybe I'll go tomorrow? I really need new needles - see how they are mismatched? :) Write later!

On to the Middle!

I've finally finished the bottom section of my LH Neighborhood and now I'm on to the middle. I only have the grass and some flowers completed. I haven't decided if I'm going to start on a house or work on the sheepies and the tree. Hmmm... decisions, decisions. :)

Little House Neighborhood

I never did get the boys registered for school yesterday. They are only there Mon. - Thur., so I will go back on Monday. I did get most of their school supplies though. I can't believe all the stuff they need! It's crazy! Anyway, they were happy. And Jake was happy to finally be picking out a lunch box after watching Bradley get one the past couple of years.

I was going to go stitching today, but I think I'm going to go downtown instead. I want to check out the yarn shop down there. I need some new sock needles! Write later! :)

I'm almost finished with the bottom section of my Little House Neighborhood. I can't wait to move up to middle section!

Not much going on here. I need to get the kids registered for school, so it will be a busy day today. Write later!

Little House Neighborhood Nightmare!

I was dreaming last night that my LH Neighborhood had a snag in it, almost like a run in a stocking, or if you were to pull a string out of the linen. I pulled at the two sides and it came apart! I was so disappointed. All that work I put in to it. I didn't want to stitch it again. I was so glad when I woke up this morning and it was in one piece! What a relief!! :)

Little House Neighborhood as of 7/28/08

I got a package in the mail yesterday from DSL! Since I live so close to Amy it usually only takes one or two days for me to get them from her. What a treat for me!! :)

All Dolled Up charts

I love them all - I don't know which one to start first! :)

A Little More Neighborhood...

Little House Neighborhood as of 7/12/08

I'm really enjoying it! I did work on Joyful Summer a little bit and then I realized I was going to run out of the darker green "Bean Sprout." I thought I would have enough, but I guess not. So I'm going to take the thread to my somewhat LNS and see if I can match it up!

I also have some news! I'm going to the Pals retreat in October! I'm so excited! :) I'm going to be taking Jane Timmer's class - Madeira Tin Project.

Madeirafull

It should be a blast! Well, not much else going on! Going to get back to stitching! Write later! :)

Another Start...

I think I may have a case of startitis! :) I started Joyful Summer yesterday to work on in between my LH Neighborhood. I'm going to wait to work on the Lizzie Kate Christmas Double Flips until the next set comes out so I can work from the bottom up, which is how I'm most comfortable stitching. Here's my little "Joyful Summer" Progress pic...

And here is my latest LHN pic...

I'm having so much fun stitching this one. I love the design, the fabric and the basic DMC threads.

Pink Carnation

Here's a carnation from the latest bunch I bought. I know carnations aren't roses, but they are still pretty. Especially the pink ones. There's something so simple and sweet about them. :)

My Little House Neighborhood Start

I got started on LH Neighborhood yesterday. So far I'm just working on the border, but I am liking it! :)

Thursday, June 26, 2008

I got quite a bit stitched on "Embroidery Guild" yesterday. I woke up with a migraine, so I didn't do much of anything, but stitch. :)

Embroidery Guild as of 6/25/08

I also finally decided on the fabric for "Little House Neighborhood." I'm going with my favorite - 32 ct. Vintage Examplar. Dh also said he liked that one the best, so that confirmed it! :)

LHN "Little House Neighborhood" Threads and 32 ct. Vintage Examplar

I may go to a yarn shop today in downtown Charleston, if my dh can get home early enough that is. They have knit nights every Thursday, and I thought that would be a fun thing to do. I could buy some yarn to knit a sock or two and meet some new people. We'll see if it works out! Write later!

More Embroidery Guild

I have been stitching some. Not as much as I would like, but I think once I get more into a routine here it will be better. Here's my little progress pic...

LHN "Embroidery Guild" as of 6/24/08

I have also been kitting the new "Little House Neighborhood," which I should be getting from Amy very soon! :) I just can't decided which fabric to use! I've narrowed it down to four. If you can call that narrowed down. The four are Vintage Meadow Rue, Vintage Examplar, Vintage Light Examplar and Light Examplar. I think I'm going to have hubby decide when he gets home, I just can't! Here's a pic of the threads on Vintage Meadow Rue (this picture is light, the fabric is actually much darker than this).

Well, not much else! Write later!
