Surprises in the Mail!

I got home on Saturday and it's taken me this long to recover! The car is still not fully unpacked. It's such a disaster. Three boys sure can do a lot of damage in a short period of time! Anyway, the surprises were waiting for me when I got home. The first was a package from Alexandra from Paris, France. I knew she was sending me a chart, but when I opened it I was surprised to see a little handmade bag...

And here's what I found inside the bag...

Isn't it all just gorgeous?? I couldn't believe she sent me all of this. It was so generous of her to send the chart alone, but to also send everything else... well, I was just speechless!

I also got a very sweet card and a beautiful skein of silk thread from Michele. It was so thoughtful of her!

I haven't been stitching too much since I've been home. I have been too busy cleaning my mess (I left the house a disaster - all my last minute stitching, sewing, trying to finish and frame, etc). I did get "Family Sampler" out again and put a few stitches in that. Melissa's stitching inspired me to get back to mine!

Well, I'd better get back to cleaning and laundry! Hopefully I'll have some more stitching to share soon! :)

  1. Very nice things, Nicole! :) My dmil taught me that when giving a bag or wallet, you always put something in it. Alexandra learned that lesson so well, and you're the lucky one! :D

  3. How nice to arrive home to find goodies waiting for you! And I'm glad you were inspired to start Family Sampler because, guess what, the first time I saw it ages ago, it was on your blog! Then I wondered where it went! ;-) What goes around does come around!
