I Have Lost it!!

Well, I was using the Kindle 2 for a few days and then I started missing my Kindle 3. I missed the smaller size and the quieter buttons. It shouldn't have made a difference, but it did. I was having Kindle 3 envy everywhere I looked. :) So..... I sold my K2 and ordered another Kindle 3. This time I ordered white (3G) and I like it sooo much better. I'm finally happy!! Really and truly this time. The screen is so nice with the white casing. I think it was just the graphite that was playing tricks on my eyes. Anyway, the gadget saga is finally done now!!! I promise this time! :)

I made a little slip case using the quilt top I was making awhile back (I knew I'd never finish that quilt!!).

Ok, now that the gadget saga is officially over, I have some stitching to share. I got a little bit more stitched on Shores. I finished the dolphin and worked on the boat a little bit yesterday...

I also decided to start Ann Smith yesterday. I only got a tiny bit done. There is a lot of over one in this design. I decided to do tent stitch to make it go a little faster. Hopefully it will look ok!!

Well, we're in for a rainy day today. Perfect stitching and reading weather. I love fall! Write soon! :)

  1. Nicole, you are absolutely hilarious with the gadget saga (does your husband think you're hilarious also?) I'm using tent stitch on things like the clouds, but I'm doing full cross on the over-one words for Ann Smith. Now I'm going to want to pick mine back up so you're a good influence (other than on gadgets).

  5. Hi Nicole,
Glad you're all settled with the Kindle. I love the case and the colors! Ironically, we just bought a K3 for my son's 22nd birthday. I'm curious to see what he thinks. I've heard great things about them.
Shores is coming along beautifully. I agree with the tent stitch but I don't mind over one...but I'm also a 40 ct. fan :)

  6. Lol I'm gonna have to agree with you that you have indeed lost it!

However, I can really see how the white would be an easier-on-the-eyes choice than the graphite. :) Good use of that quilt; I remember that guy!

  13. I have yet to experience a Kindle. I keep thinking that I'll miss the feel of books and my eyes go nuts if I'm on a computer too long, so didn't know how one of those would work out. Glad that you're happy with the 3.

Shores is looking great, as usual, and love your new start. I have wanted to do that one for a long time, but didn't know there was a lot of over one. Maybe, I'll just have envy watching you stitch yours.

  15. Nicole - You have not lost it - you just had to find your way to the one that said -"this is it"!!! Hope this makes you feel better - I bought the Kindle 3 Graphite at Target. Then looked at it and said I really really like the white one and will not be happy so I returned that one and ordered the white one from Amazon - due to arrive tomorrow!!! I know I will be happy. You had me looking for a White Kindle 2 though on ebay before I made up my mind!!!!! Does that mean I have lost it too???? LOL!!! Love your case - it is beautiful!!! Bev in Sav.

  18. OK, after reading your gadget saga, I'm now interested in a Kindle! I put one on my wish list at Amazon while I still ponder it all...but I'm really leaning toward wanting one. I've got several books on my wish list as well...what better reason to get a Kindle now...or at least before I add those books to my library...

    You're an enabler! ;-)
