I Have a Major Case of Startitis!

I always do this when I'm stressed... Start a bunch of projects (usually huge). I feel like I can't settle down to one thing. I'm stressed about moving and the fact that my brother is getting ready to put the house we're in on the market. It's going to be hard to show a house with three kids (sometimes four)! Oh well, I can't think about it too much. I wish we were already settled in South Carolina. I'm usually a live in the moment type person, enjoy each day as it comes, but in the situation I wish I could fast forward a little bit to the future!

So the latest thing I started was Ink Circles "Cirque Des Cercles." I really just wanted to see how the thread would look on the fabric and then I stitched on it some more last night, so I guess it's officially a start. :)

Cirque Des Cercles

The fabric is 40 ct. Antique White Newcastle linen and the thread is DMC Variations 4210. I'm using two strands over two. The coverage is a little thick, but I thought it was too thin with just one.

And I really want to start this....

Stitched With Love

Stitched With Love Threads

It's taking all my willpower not to start it, but I have very little of that lately, so don't be surprised if you see a wip pic soon. :)

Anyway, in order to ease my guilt a little over my recent spending binge I've put some things on ebay.

Just Cross Stitch Magazines

Vera Bradley Classic Black Little Travel Case
(yes, I forgot to share that I got another one, which I don't need)!

Very Bradley Capri Melon Little Travel Case (I like this one, but it really doesn't go with my other bags).

I have also added some more items to my For Sale Album. :) Write later! If you are interested in anything please email me at nicoleneville@aol.com. I tend to miss it if just a comment is left! Thanks!!

  1. It is so stressful with this move ahead, selling the house and so on...I feel with you. I did that last year, my husband already in CA and DD and I still in Germany. It wasn't a very nice time but when all this lies behind you, you and your children will be very happy that you did that step. I'm sure!....not to mention your hubby :)

I'm a fan of your fashion shows. But I have to be careful because I'm having a chronic startitis. It's always fun meeting people with the same disease...;)

  2. ....great start on Ink Circles. The read looks beautiful. I never stitched 2 over 2 on 40ct. I'm going to give it a try some time.

  3. I didn't know we can stitch on 2 over 1 on a 40 count fabric ( I only stitch on 32 count) I like the color you chose for the cirque des cercles !!!

Have you found a house in SC yet?

  4. Chiloe it's not over one! It's over two - there's no way I'd even attempt that! :)

  5. Wow, pretty start! I have way too many projects going on right now too, I can sympathize. It’s just too fun to pull everything out and see what it’ll look like :) I wish you the best in the movie, I know it’s hard, take it one day at a time :)

  9. Like to color for CdC.

Don't stress over the Startitis. We all have a certain amount of that in us. One day you will finish several projects in one and realize how great a stitcher you are.

  10. I really need to go stash shopping with you one day - you always find the neatest things. I love those reds!

I hear you on the stress of a move - I'm in the middle of moving right now. Thankfully, I'm not moving far, but it is still stressful!

  13. I can't wait to see more of the CDC. I have eyed that pattern for a long time, but know I would never finish it because of the size. And the Blue Ribbon one looks great too. I have been a fan of their patterns for a long time but have yet to stitch any yet.
