Stitching on the Road

On the way down to Florida I got block #3 of Shores stitched.

Shores block 3 finished!

And last night I worked on my CHS Alphabet. I haven't worked on it in over a year.

I finished up "Horse."

36 ct. Examplar by Lakeside Linen, GAST threads (1 over 2).

Sorry for the bad pics - they were taken on my iPhone. I hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving. My mom made dinner and it was wonderful!! I went back to my in-laws and crashed. I woke up, ate some pie and stitched a little bit and then crashed again. :)

Works in Progress

Wow! Thank you all for your very kind comments on "My Lady's Quaker!" They really made my day! :) I decided to get out "With My Needle" yesterday. I finally finished up the bottom portion. All those swirlies were driving me nuts! I'm glad most of them are behind me now!

I also worked on my CHS Alphabet the other day, but forgot to post a pic. I have "Goose" finished and a start on "Horse."

Well, my oldest ds is home sick with the flu. Dh and I were going to go to Charleston. We were going to walk down King Street and go out to lunch. I was finally going to try shrimp and grits! But it looks like I'll be staying home playing nurse instead. Oh well - that's life when you're a mom! :) Write soon!

Quilting, Stitching, and Stashing

I started the quilting on my little table topper. I have decided to do outline quilting, which basically follows the shape of the seams. I think it's coming out ok. I'm trying to take my time and not be so spastic!

I went to Amy's yesterday and it was a lot of fun as always! We stitched, shopped and ate (Pizza Hut, yum)! I stitched a little bit on my CHS Alphabet.

When I got home I decided to get out my CHS Sampler Stocking and work on it some. I would love to get it finished also.

I also got a little bit of stash while at Amy's.

I was thinking of stitching "When Witches go Riding" using these Belle Soie...

Here's my conversion if anyone is interested. I used Shepherd's Bush's model as a guide, but I have no idea what they actually used.

Stitching and Fabric

I got a little more progress on "My Lady's Quaker."

My Lady's Quaker

I also decided to pull out an old UFO. Carriage House Samplings Alphabet.

Carriage House Alphabets

I started this when I was pregnant with Matthew (over three years ago) and decided to get it back out after seeing Siobhan's beautiful framed piece. I would love to get this one finished up!

I also went to my local quilt shop (People, Places and Quilts) today. It's a beautiful shop in historic Summerville. I got some backing and binding fabric for my table topper.

I got the blue for the back and the brown for the binding. I also picked up a few fat quarters while I was there. All the fabric I got is from the Moda Figgy Pudding line.

Tomorrow I'm going to Amy's to stitch and shop! I can't wait for that!! It's been a long time since I've been away (without kids). I need it!! Write Later!

Another Small Finish

I decided to stitch Carriage House Samplings "Deer." I meant to do it last month, but never got around to it. I would like to try for two letters a month.

LHN Dear Diary Charts

I got some charts from a trade I did through my new trade blog. They are three Little House Needleworks Dear Diary charts: Abigail Winslow, Rebecca Small, and Emmaline Whitcomb. Too cute! Thank you again Kristin for the great trade! :)

Well, Matthew is still not feeling too well. I gave him Pedialite in his bottle tonight. I'm hoping that will help him. He's also cutting a tooth on top and I'm sure that's not making him feel any better. :( He did feel well enough to get into a little mischief today. Click on the picture below for the whole story.

Well, it's almost 11 pm. I'd better get some sleep! Write later!

Cat's is finished!

I finished up Cats by Carriage House Samplings yesterday. I'm behind on my rotation though. I didn't stitch on Game Board Sampler on Fri. or My Earth on Sat. Oh well, hopefully I'll get back to it next week! Here's a picture of Cats...

And here's a picture of them together...

A B C - CHS Alphabet

I also finished up Sweet Sweet Babe yesterday, and left it with JoAnne from Needleworks and Framing in Holiday to be framed. I don't have a picture beause I forgot my camera. :( Oh well, it will be done in four weeks and I'll take a pic then. I'm so excited because it's been so long since I've had anything professionally framed! I hope my SIL likes it!

I left Jake (my 4yo) with my MIL for a couple of days. He screamed like crazy when I left, but I figured he'd get over it, and he did. I just thought it would be good for both of them because she gets lonely and he doesn't get enough one on one time. I do miss him so much though. It seems so quiet here and just not quite right - like something is definitely missing! He will be back on Tuesday though, it's not like he's going to be away for weeks or anything! :) Well, not much else going on here! Write later!

Carriage House Samplings Alphabet

I got a little bit of stitching done last night while watching the new episode of Grey's Anatomy, which was very good by the way! :) Here's my pic...

CHS Alphabet as of 2/22/07

I'm stitching it on 36 ct. Examplar by Lakeside Linens using one strand of thread over two. Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm going to try to finish "Cats" up tonight, or work on my Friday project - Game Board Sampler. Hmmm... decisions, decisions. :)

Thank you all for your very kind comments - they mean so much! :) Write later!

A is for Angel, B is for Bird, C is for Cold...

Yep, one week to go until my due date and I've caught a cold. Thank you DH! I didn't sleep at all last night! I did manage to finish Bird this morning...

Angel and Bird - CHS Alphabet

I decided to keep using one strand of thread and decided to keep using the solid bittersweet. When I woke up yesterday morming I decided I liked it afterall. Now I'm just wondering if I should start "Cats," or get back to VoHRH? :) I think I'm just going to lay down for now... too much to think about! :) Write later!

Took a little break from VoHRH today...

I received a few of the CHS alphabet charts in the mail today (SB&B sale). So I thought I'd start on Angel.

Carriage House Samplings Angel

I decided to use one strand of thread on 36 ct. I'm still deciding if I like it. It's definitely a more muted look. Along with my order I got some GAST Bittersweet. It's different than the Bittersweet I had in my stash. The one in my stash is variegated between light and bright orange. Like the one I used in Needle...

Needle by Carriage House Samplings

And the one Karen has been using in her alphabet. Hmmm.... what should I do? Now that I look at my Needle and her WIP I think I should use two strands and try and find some variegated Bittersweet! :)

Only nine more days until my due date. Nothing is happening - just braxton hicks contractions every now and then, which mean nothing. I just don't want to be overdue! I hope something happens by next week sometime. Write more later!!
