Catching up!

I've neglected my Flip-it Bits for a few months and I'm trying to get caught up. I finished July, and just started August. If I can stick to it I should be caught up in a few days.

I forgot to mention that Deb brought me a very pretty sampler...

Thank you again Deb - I love it! :)

Another thing I forgot to mention is I'm going to California next week. I'm going to Elegant Stitch's retreat Chocolat. I'm looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time. I'll be gone for five days and it will be the longest I've left Matthew. I'm looking forward to getting away though. I think it will be a lot of fun! I went a few years ago and had a blast. My SIL is coming with me. She's not stitching, but she wanted to come because she's never been to San Francisco. So we're going to stay two days there, so we can see the sights. It should be fun, but I am going to miss my babies! :)

  1. July is by far my favorite flip it monthly from L*K this year! Congrats on the finish and a beautiful blog. Enjoy your retreat, it sounds wonderful! Esp the name of it...who can't love anything with chocolate!?

  2. I want to do those Flip Its next year; yours have inspired me!

The CA trip sounds awesome and I'd miss my kiddos too. I bet once you get stitching and having fun there you'll be just fine.

Tanya, who is eager for Netflix to send more GG discs!!!

  3. Enjoy your trip! Elegant Stitch is a wonderful shop. You will have a fab time. I know you will have a great trip to SF too. How fun that your SIL is attending with you!

  4. Five days away...sounds like a little bit of heaven :) I'm sure you'll miss your babies, but what a treat for you! ENJOY!

The July finish is wonderful and the sampler Deb got you is beautiful!

  5. july looks great!!!
and wow ur coming all this way from florida!

  6. Great finish, I like those charts :D You will be caught up in no time! Your trip sounds like a lot of fun. We left our kids for 6 days once and it was strange, but went by so quickly, you’ll be home before you know it! Just relax and enjoy your time away to refresh yourself.

  7. Have fun at the retreat! I enrolled in the retreat in April, but had to cancel when I got an unexpected tax bill :( - Maybe next year (although next year is the Shepherd's Bush retreat, and that will be hard to resist!)

  8. Have fun in California! Take lots of pictures and notes. I can't wait to see the finished piece! Your L*K piece is great!
I bet the boys will miss you too!
    Stay safe!

  9. Your flip-its are turning out very nice. You are so fast when you get on them.

Have fun at the retreat. I am going to one in Oklahoma City on the the 18th. I know how much fun they can be.

  10. What a pretty finish!

That will be wonderful retreat! It's hard to be away from the kids, especially the younger ones but it will be fine.

  11. The Elegant Stitch trip sounds lovely, I know what you mean about leaving the kids-2-3 days is usually enough for me.
