Help Me Decide!

I have been stitching along on Celtic Autumn. I'm really enjoying it - especially now that I'm past all those swirls! My only problem is I can't decide to make part of the dress white or gold. Here's a link to Andrea's, which is the conversion I'm using and Lisa's (she's using the gold). They are both beautiful. I have already started stitching the white, so I may end up going with that. But I do like the gold too. Lisa was kind enough to give me her conversion. What do you all think?? Here is my progress as of yesterday...

Celtic Autumn as of 9/11/08

I also worked on my "Amish Trip Around the World" canvas work piece a little bit last night. This was something good for me to work on last night when I was a little tired, but still wanted to stitch.

  1. I kind of prefer the gold. It seems to "blend" more. Has more of an autumn color to it. But, the white looks great as well. So, either way it will be wonderful! :-)

Your Amish Trip Around the World sure is looking great! Love the colors!

  3. I like her both ways but must admit my preference for my home would be the gold as it looks softer but if you want it to stand out then go with the white. HTH ;-)

  8. I just love the gold: thta's what I'll do for mine when I'll stitch it ;) It goes more witht the other colors. When you see both: you can't help thinking that the white is just too white ! lol

Let us know what you decide.

  10. I'm going to be different and say I prefer the white lol, but that's because i'm doing the white. They both look very pretty and I dont' think there's a lot to choose between either conversion.

Your canvas work is really pretty :o)

  11. I'm going to say white...but like everyone else...both are pretty. I have to admit this one is the prettiest of these designs(IMHO) I have a big admiration for anyone taking one of these on. They are an incredible amount of work.Yours will be fabulous! So no matter which way you go (gold or white) it will be a stunner.

  13. I'm leaning toward the gold, but I also like the white. I didn't realize there were two different but similar conversions. Yours looks great so far.

  16. Beautiful stitching on this Nicole! You are doing such a fantastic job on your cross stitch as well as your canvaswork! I have worked on mine all week to get this far and you are almost there with me already! We are hanging in here in Texas but they don't expect us to get the worse part until much later tonight or towards early morning. We are doing well and have everything in place. Thank you for the nice email and I will keep you posted unless the power goes out for at time, but I will sure let you know asap. Thank you for your concern!

  23. I prefer the white.
He shows on the picture in the white much better one according to me. The rest of the colours emphasize it.

  25. I like the Gold and the White but I think the White makes it look more stunning and it makes it stand out more too.

I have all four of those patterns and I would love to have the conversion for the white.

Your Canvas work is just beautiful too...keep up the good work.
