Earth Sampler Start

I started Earth Sampler yesterday and realized there were a couple errors. If I had read all of Karen's post I would have realized that sooner! I emailed Lisa, the designer of The Primitive Needle last night and she put the correction on her website. I'm having so much fun stitching this one! Here are a couple progress pics...

Primitive Needle "Earth Sampler"

The Primitive Needle "Earth Sampler"
40 ct. Linen (hand-dyed by me), GAST and WDW threads.

I also worked on my nephew's birth sampler a little bit last night. I found out my SIL is going to be induced Sunday, so I thought I'd better get working on it! :)

Thank you to those helped clear out some of my old stash! I really appreciate it! :)

  2. Your work is beautiful! You really love to stitch on the tiny linen don't you. Well, you have inspired me to stitch a few things on it too. I have some in my stash and it would be such a shame to never have used it. Thanks for the inspiration =)

  9. Earth Sampler is looking cute as a bug, Nicole!! Good for you, contacting Lisa about the errors. I envy these designers and understand completely that you can edit and edit and edit again, and not see something, when on a deadline to get these beauties published!

  10. Best of luck on your impending aunt-again-ness! ;) I hope everything goes well & can't wait to hear the news. That is one lucky baby, getting that gorgeous birth sampler! You put me to shame; my niece was born in December and I haven't even ordered the chart yet. Your Earth Sampler... agh. You are killing me!! I thought about it all day and really do have to stitch it up--it is so perfect for Spring. Gorgeous stitching as always, Nicole!

Can't wait to see it all finished. How will you "finish" it; are you going to have it framed?
