Titania Tuesday Update

I am almost finished with the right side of Titania. I got most of the regular stitching done. I just have a few stitches here and there that I need to fill in and then some backstitching. I'll leave the beading until last. I've only been working on her again for a little over a month now, so I think I'll definitely finish before September! I'm very happy about that. That is one positive about my rotation! I don't think I would have gotten as far as I have without it.

And here is the updated pic of "Sailing Home."

Well, now that obligation stitching is out of the way I'm going to stitch what I want for the rest of the day! :)

More Titania

I worked on Titania's wings some more yesterday. I'm getting pretty close to finishing the right side. It's going much quicker than I thought it would. I'm very happy about that!

What do you all think of the before and after pics? Do you like them, or do you feel that they are unnecessary? I would love your feedback.

Today is Bygone Stitches Quaker SAL day. I'm going to work on Quaker Christmas after doing some cleaning. Fun, fun! Write later! :)

Titania Tuesday

I'm really surprised at how much I am enjoying stitching this one again. I thought I would dread stitching it because I had considered it finished years ago, but I'm not at all. It's a nice change to stitch on 32 ct. after all the 36 and 40 ct. And there are fairly big blocks of color and I'm even enjoying stitching with the metallics. Here's the progress I made yesterday....

Today starts the Quaker Virtues SAL with Amy, Vonna and Terry. I'm really looking forward to stitching this one! Write soon! :)

Something Completely Different

My friend, Shannon, has been telling me for years that she would like an angel because she saw my L&L angels hanging in my house. I finally told her I would stitch her one this year. I told her to look on the L&L and Mirabilia sites. Well, she chose Titania, Queen of the Fairies. I had actually already stitched this one except for the wings and leaves. I told her I would finish it up and give it to her hopefully for her birthday in September. I got her back out last night and started on the leaves.

There are a lot of color changes in the those leaves, but it wasn't too bad. I plan to stitch this at least one day a week to get it done by September. I'm going to get back to Kind Fond Love today. Write soon!

Confession Time...

Remember when I said please don’t let me start a new project because I knew I was just so antsy about the baby coming?? Well, I did. I couldn’t help myself. And I went out to Michael’s the night before she was born to get a piece of linen to stitch it on because all the linen I have was not right for it. I started this...

Mirabilia's The Petal Fairy

I haven’t done a big Angel or Fairy in ages... I don’t know what drew me to this one. I guess I had seen a lot of them stitched and just thought she was pretty. So we’ll see if I can stick with it! Those darn babies.. the things they make me do (or start). Since I’m determined to finish something (even if it’s small) I stitched on my little January Flip-It today...

I also stopped by Michael’s today with my handy dandy 40% off coupon. I got a scroll rod set and got $28 off. Not too shabby!

And I got the latest Cross Stitch & Needlework because it had this really pretty sampler in it...

Well, I had lunch with my brother today. He said he spent a lot of time holding the baby last night. He said she would not sleep in her bassinet, and I told him I could relate! Matthew didn’t like to sleep in his either until he was about four weeks. I just talked to my SIL, she seems to be doing fine, and appreciated that I got everything ready for her. I just feel for her because I know what she's going through! Well, not much else! I didn't stitch last night - just went right to bed, I think I'll stitch tonight though! :)
