Long Time No Blog!

I don't know what's wrong with me lately, but I've had no desire to stitch or blog. I guess everyone needs a break every now and then. I'm not feeling depressed anymore. I'm just feeling lazy. At night I've just been watching Gilmore Girls, but not stitching. I'm almost to the end of season six and then I'll have to wait until season seven comes out. And then that's it for me and Lorelai and Rory. So sad. :) I did stitch a tiny bit yesterday while waiting for my ds to get out of school...

Pretty boring. Argh - how do I get out of my slump?? Anyway, I will do it - it may just take a little time. It could be the heat - I really can't wait until it cools down somewhat. I'll take 84 over 94 anyday! Well, obviously not much going on here! :) Write later!

  1. Queen Anne is coming along nicely. I really hope that you feel more like your old self again soon and feel more like stitching and blogging, but yes it happens to us all, I was feeling a bit like that a few weeks ago, my holiday came at the right time I think.

  2. Don't stitch if you don't feel like it, it's fine, stitching is for you and blogging to but if you are wanting to stitch, try getting inspiration from webshots photos of stitchery, our blogs, or your local needlework shop. Maybe you need a change of venue, see if there is something else you would like to try. As far as blogging, we will be here whenever you feel like blogging, you don't have to be a slave to the blog. (i came up with that lol). (I also came up with this one): you won't be blackstitched from the community. Take care.

  7. Queen Anne looks fabulous! Don't worry about not blogging, do it when you feel like, you don't have to :D Though we all like your posts of course.

  8. "Oh Marilla, I was in the depths of despair!" Or it reads something like that - so sorry you are in a rut, Nicole. It's ok to be that way - don't be hard on yourself. That dress is outstanding - LOTS of stitching there, my dear. Hang in there.

  9. Stitching should be enjoyable for you not a task that you don't like doing. Don't be hard on yourself.

  10. I've been in a bit of a slump as well. Like you said, I swear its the weather. I didn't grow up in hot, humid environments, so my body just can't handle it. I've kept my stitching going by doing easy projects I don't have to devote much attention to. Hope you feel better soon!

  12. Not feeling like stitching or blogging is something that we all go through, and quite often too in my case. Like everyone else has said do it when you feel like it, after all it's meant to be fun. Your Queen Anne's Lace looks beautiful! I keep thinking about getting it myself, then I remember the huge pile of charts and kits I already have. LOL I look forward to seeing your next update of it.

  13. Hi Nicole:

You just amaze me at how you can at least try to handle your hubby being gone all the time, so my hat is off to you. I would never be able to do that. I just had my DH disgruntled with me and my blood pressure went up really high over that, and I couldn't stitch or blog for a few days. I am back stitching on my project but not enough to post yet. Hang in there, it just has to get better for you! I too will be glad to see it get down in the 80's. We have been in the 90's here too. I hope things get better for you! Hugs Debby
