A Bit of September Finished!

I got this finished up today while Matthew was taking a nap. I need a couple threads before I start October, which I'll hopefully get tomorrow.

Lizzie Kate "A Bit of Semptember"
Fabric: 32 ct. Glenshee
Threads: GAST, DMC, and WDW
Started - 10/11/07, Finished - 10/12/07

All together!

In other news - I got Matthew his first pair of walking shoes. They are just adorable! There's just nothing like a new pair of white Stride Rites to bring joy to the heart. I don't know what it is - they're a symbol. A passage from babyhood to toddlerhood. The shoes will always hold memories of sturdy legs toddling around. Anyway, I'm getting mushy, but all the moms out there will surely know what I mean! I'll post a picture tomorrow. :)

  1. You are so right about that passage from baby to toddler with those new shoes. Kind of tugs at one's heart, now doesn't it? Somewhere, hidden in my closet, are two tiny pairs that their wearers can now not even get a toe into.

  2. Even those without kids get a little sentimental reading that! They're so adorable at that stage!!
You're LK year is coming along beautifully!

  3. That definitely brought back memories - DS got a pair of white Stride Rites, too, for his first pair of "proper" shoes.

DS got black patent leather Clark's t-straps (no Stride Rite in Australia).

A passage of sort to be sure!

    Congratulations on finishing "September".

  4. My mom sent each of my kids a pair of Stride Rites when they reached that special age. Me, I remember my first pair of Buster Browns - I was so excited that I wanted to wear them to bed!

  5. Oh wow, those LK's look great stitched all together like that.

Aww, I bet Matthew looks so cool in his new shoes. It wont be long before we're at the shoe shop too. I think maybe mid December for us. By then he should be steady enough on his feet to be able to walk outside.

  7. Isn't Andrea using the same conversion as me? Have a look at my 1st September post - if it's the same one (the one I'm going to re-stitch) then I can send you the conversion - email me.

If you want to join the SAL you are more than welcome. Just let me know :o)
