Quaker Christmas

Ok, I've tweaked my rotation. I've decided to devote two days to bigger projects (Quaker Christmas and SoHRH) and one day to smaller projects (Garden Girl, Sweet Treats and Hanky Pysanky). We'll see how this goes. I'm so bad at sticking to a rotation! No matter how hard I try, the screaming rotation usually wins out. So today is day one of working on Quaker Christmas for this week.

Quaker Christmas as of 3/1/08

I got two motifs finished up and now my eyes have had enough of 40 ct., so I may work on something else or just rest. I'm still not 100%, but I'm getting there. Thank you all for your very kind comments and well wishes! Write later! :)

  2. Oooooo! So Pretty! Is it over 1 or over 2, please tell me it is over 2 on such tiny count. I have tried over 2 on 48 count and it was a no go. I love that floss, I see it is cranberry but what brand is it? I will have to get some of that, no doubt.

  4. That is looking really beautiful, Nicole! I love cranberry in all the silk brands!

You've mentioned 40 count tiring you out lately. Think it's being under the weather or time for a vision check? Can't hurt.

  5. Lovely colour and design.
I find just taking my projects in order but with no set time limit the best way, as an hour on one project can be a long time where as i can work on the next for three or four days quite happily.

  6. Oooohhh!!! This is wonderful! Actually, all your works are soo beautiful! I visit your blog daily, and I am always delighted by your projects!
I am stitching a BlackBird Pincushion on a 40ct.linen too, and my eyes are desperate! In your previous post I noticed that you use a OTT-LITE lamp...is it a good help when stitching? Do you use also a magnifier? I use a "neck one", but it moves whenever I move a finger...and after some minutes it makes me feel sick...I am planning to purchase a "flexilen on base" one, hoping to feel more comfortable...

  8. Hope you're feeling better. I've had the 'dreaded crud' too.
So, to where in SC are you moving?
I am in Greer, between Greenville and Spartanburg. Oh to have a stitching friend close by.
