A Tiny Finish

I decided to stitch a little Fall Fob for myself. I used a freebie from Trail Creek Farm.

Threads: GAST and WDW
Started: 9/29/08 - Finished 9/30/08

I have also been working on my class project and "Two White Houses," but found that I was off a stitch on that one! I'm so frustrated! I don't feel like ripping! Anyway, maybe I'll work on something else - something a little less frustrating! :) Write later!

WIP Update

I have a new Fall project that I started yesterday. It's Little House Needleworks "Two White Houses." I'm loving it so far!

LHN "Two White Houses"

I'm stitching it on my favorite fabric, 32 ct. Vintage Examplar by Lakeside Linens. I also worked on "Seasons of Change Row" and "Celtic Autumn" a little bit last week. Here's my latest progress on those two...

It's currently 80 degrees, so it's not feeling too fall like right now. I'm hoping the cooler weather will come back soon! :) Write later!

Love My Coffee!

I was in the mood for another quick finish and found Lizzie Kate's Coffee Trio in my stash. I started and finished this one yesterday...

Another Small Finish...

I decided to start "Queen Bee" the other day and I got it finished up today while waiting for my ds in the car line at his school. It was such a fun stitch (do I sound like a broken record?). Anyway, here's a pic...

I decided not to doll this one up either. I was going to do the beads and then at the last minute I decided to do just the thread. I'm going to get back to my Bent Creek Row now. Write later! :)

I have been bad

Remember how I said I just wanted to buy more and more canvas work designs, but I could not because I had to stick to my budget? Well, my clicky finger did not listen to my brain. It had a mind of it's own! My justification was that I have birthday coming up. Actually it's still about 1 1/2 months away. The first one I got was "Rambling Rose" by Laura J. Perin. I did not come up with these colors on my own. I have ashamedly copied Coni's sister Chrissy. I fell in love with the colors she used for this design! They are so pretty!

Rambling Rose kitted

The next one is "Summer Days" also by Laura J. Perin. The colors are the original colors used in the design.

I have been stitching some too. I got a little bit more stitched on my "Seasons of Change Row."

And I got a little bit more stitched on my Madeira Tin Project.

Autumn Harvest Finished!

I got Autumn Harvest finished last night. It was a fun stitch and appropriate because a little cold front came through and now we have wonderful cool mornings. I'm hoping it stays that way! I have missed fall so much!

I also decided to start something else yesterday...

Bent Creek "Seasons of Change Row"

It's "Seasons of Change Row" by Bent Creek. I started at the end (on the fall side) and I'm going to make my way towards winter.

I did finally hear from Debby last night. She has been without power and water for almost two weeks now! She borrowed a neighbor's generator to get online last night. She's hoping to have her power and water back on today! Hopefully she does, I couldn't even imagine what it's been like for her - I'm glad she is safe though! I was worried!

Strawberry House Finished!

I finished up "Strawberry House" yesterday. It was such a fun stitch. I decided not to "Doll it up" though. I liked it with just plain stitching the best. I'm thinking about stitching Queen Bee or Autumn Harvest now! :)

In other news.... I'm a little worried about my friend Debby (Stitch Wizard). She lives outside of Houston and I haven't heard from her since before Hurricane Ike made landfall. I truly hope she is doing ok! I'm guessing she doesn't have power and I hope that is the extent of her troubles right now! Debby, you are in my thoughts and prayers - I hope to hear from you soon!!

More Celtic Autumn and New Start

Well, I decided to go with white, not because I don't think the gold is beautiful, but because I am lazy. Since I had already started the white I didn't feel like ripping it out. So here is my latest progress pic...

DSC_0025

And my new start is Little House Needleworks "Strawberry House." I've had it kitted for a while now and decided to start it because I was needing something small to work on. And I was going through LHN withdrawals - LOL! :)

Help Me Decide!

I have been stitching along on Celtic Autumn. I'm really enjoying it - especially now that I'm past all those swirls! My only problem is I can't decide to make part of the dress white or gold. Here's a link to Andrea's, which is the conversion I'm using and Lisa's (she's using the gold). They are both beautiful. I have already started stitching the white, so I may end up going with that. But I do like the gold too. Lisa was kind enough to give me her conversion. What do you all think?? Here is my progress as of yesterday...

Celtic Autumn as of 9/11/08

I also worked on my "Amish Trip Around the World" canvas work piece a little bit last night. This was something good for me to work on last night when I was a little tired, but still wanted to stitch.

Celtic Autumn and Madeira Tin Project

Hi Everyone! I have been stitching. I have been working mostly on Celtic Autumn. I'm finally past the many color changes of the swirly part of her skirt.

Celtic Autumn

And here's my little start on my tin project. I'm working on stitching the biscornu right now...

I have about five weeks to finish it. I think I can do it! :) Write later!

Grandma's Flower Garden Finished!

I finished my first canvas work design by Laura J. Perin! It was such a fun stitch. I highly recommend these designs for anyone who wants to stitch, but doesn't want to hassle with magnifiers and lights. The holes are so easy to see and the patterns are very easy to follow. Anyway, here's my pic...

Little House Neighborhood Finished!!!!

Yeah! I finally did it! I got it finished last night! I stayed up way too late stitching! I ended up leaving the hearts off by the words. I was going to put crows there, but I decided to just leave it plain. The only other changes I made was putting the bunnies on the hill instead of the squirrels. Everything else is as charted.

This and That and Rain

Well, my dh has gone out of town, so his side is the bed is filled with stitching stuff. I have canvas work, cross stitch and knitting! I have been working on a little bit of everything today!

I finished up a sock yesterday - it fits perfect and I love it! I'm anxious to get started on the second one now.

BFF Sock

It looks huge, but it's really not. It's just the angle in which the picture was taken.

I have also been working on another canvas work piece. This is a freebie by Laura J. Perin called "Grandma's Flower Garden." Which you can find here (scroll down).

Grandma's Garden Freebie

I'm not too far away from being finished. I like these little designs they are so quick and easy and fun! Thank you all for your very kind comments on my other canvas work - "Hide & Seek." You have inspired me to keep at it! :)

I have also rejoined the Celtic Lady SAL. I got Celtic Autumn back out and stitched on her just a bit tonight. I know I really should be finishing up my neighborhood, but I think I'm feeling a little anxious about Hanna. Although all we've had so far is rain - no wind. Hopefully it stays that way.

Celtic Autumn

I have been watching the weather channel all day. I'm not sure how much sleep I will get since I will probably leave the weather channel on just in case we have any severe weather. Like I said hopefully not! Here's our latest radar image...

Hello Again!

Well, I did not get my neighborhood finished. I stopped by my LNS in Florida to pick up the latest Loose Feather. While I was there I decided to browse through the canvas work patterns and saw this funky one (Hide & Seek) by Laura J. Perin. I decided to get it and the threads and canvas for it. I started it right away. I'm still not sure about the colors, they really are not me, but I can't stop stitching it! :)

Hide & Seek by Laura J. Perin

I'm so addicted to canvas work lately - I want to buy more and more, but I can't! I'm on a budget! And I need to have to stick to it! Anyway, nothing else going on. I've got lots of water and Pop Tarts just in case Hanna decides to come near us (it looks like it's going North of us)! Write later!

Hello!

I just wanted to post a quick message that I'm back home, but I haven't had time to do a proper post! I will have one of those soon, I promise! :) Write Later!
