Daisy Sampler

I had wrote this whole long post about how I was unhappy with my wips and nothing was going right and I decided to delete it. It was so negative. I decided a new start is what I needed. A small new start. :) Of course a CCN or LHN is a perfect choice for that, so I chose Country Cottage Needleworks "Daisy Sampler."

CCN "Daisy Sampler"
Country Cottage Needeworks "Daisy Sampler" stitched on 32 ct. Patina linen

I think I've been stitching so much and seemingly so fast because of the books I've been listening to at night. They are so good and it seems the better they are the faster I stitch and the longer I've been staying up to hear more. I sometimes wonder what I did before I discovered audio books. :)

I kept thinking yesterday was significant for some reason and then I realized it's the four year anniversary of the day my husband was shot in the line of duty. I called him to tell how glad I am that he's with me today. I couldn't imagine him not being in my life and not having Matthew.

I have a lot to be grateful for, which is why I deleted the negative post! I need to think positive! :)

  1. I love watching you stitch LHN and CCN pieces. They're my favorite designers and I look forward to starting one of their projects myself one of these days very soon. What a blessing that your husband is still with you all!

  4. Hi Nicole,
Daisy is such a pretty design! Good about the +ness; wish more people were positive and then this world would be a better place. Yes, blessings abound.

    Take care,

  5. Your stitch is just wonderful. Keep up the good thoughts. On your recommendation I down loaded THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL from audio.com. I will be listening to it next.

  7. Those audio books sound very productive with your stitching. Glad you're on a more positive frame of mind. Whenever there's negative, there's always a positive way of looking at things. Having your dh still in your lives is certainly a good thing. Great start with Daisy too!

  8. Hi Nicole:

I actually didn't see a negative blog in here. You have finished some very pretty patterns here and this one will be beautiful as well. You seem to get so much done. I am a much slower stitcher but enjoy it just the same. Daisy Sampler will be fun to watch you stitch. I love LHN and CCN too!! I am so glad that Chris is not out on patrol and has a better job! I can imagine that you are very thankful that he is well and safe now and looking forward to you all being together soon! I am still trying to get audio e books and maybe it will help me stitch more and faster too!
