Loose Feather

I got the new Loose Feathers (Beneath the Sunlit Sky) yesterday.

I was thinking of stitching it on 32 ct. Platinum Belfast. I think the threads look really pretty on it.

I got some not so great news today. My husband just called to tell me he will not be able to get Sarasota. He will have to go to Charleston for three years. I had planned on staying here with my mom, but I just don't know if I can do it. I've been trying to get used to being apart, but it's much harder than I thought it would be. We'll just have to see what the future brings. Hopefully we get our house sold soon!

Write later!

  1. Those colors are SO yummy!! That design is a beauty ~ I look forward to seeing your progress on it.

Sorry about the news ~ Charleston is beautiful though. Would you move there?

  2. Nicole,
The colors are just perfect with the fabric. I look forward to seeing how they look when stitched.
I'm sorry to hear that you have had some not so great news. I have complete faith that all will work itself out for the best.

  3. Being apart is really hard and should only be in cases of last resort. Charleston sounds like a great place to live (my mom lives in Summerville, right outside of Charleston, I was out there a year ago), it is a really beautiful place. Maybe you can rent something until you can get a new house. At any rate, I hope something wonderful works out for you in all of this.

  4. Lovely colours! Platinum was one of my shortlisted choices for this design, before I decided to go with Natural. I can't wait to receive this and get started - it's such a beautiful design!

Sorry to hear about your DH - I know I couldn't be apart from mine for any length of time. Fingers crossed that you find a solution you're all happy with.

  5. I love the pattern and the fabric you chose is perfect!

I'm so sorry to her that your DH didn't get the job he wanted. However Charleston...that town is gorgeous! I hope your house gets sold soon too :)

  6. The colors of that design look great. Matthew is so cute Nicole, just adorable. I hope that you and your DH are together again soon.

  7. Sorry to hear things didn't work out about your DH's job posting. There's always a good news/bad news side to these things. Thinking of you!

  8. I'm sorry to hear about your news. I know it's a difficult decision, but it will all work out in the end.

Your floss toss and fabby looks great today.

  9. I agree with everyone else. That fabric is perfect for those thread colours.

What a bummer about your DH job. That's going to be a toughie to sort out but whatever decision you make, I'm sure it'll be the right one.

  10. What a great stitching goodie to get in the mail, sorry to hear about your hubby, maybe you could find a place to rent, I know it's hard to be apart from a loved one.
    Good luck!
    ps:your son looks so sweet!

  11. I think Charleston would be great! Best wishes for figuring things out.

Love the colors for the new loose feathers :-).
