And a Little More Garden Girl

I couldn't resist stitching on it a little more yesterday and today. I'm already ignoring my rotation and it's only been a few days! :) I'm hopeless!

Garden Girl as of 3/3/08

I also got "My Needle's Work" in the mail today. I can tell this is going to be one of my next starts! I love it! :)

I'm so excited because I was able to sign up with Net Library today. I had to go to a library in my county, which wasn't too close, to sign up. I'm so glad I made the trip because it's so worth it! They have a ton of books I want to listen to. I just downloaded "The Other Boleyn Girl" by Philippa Gregory. After I listen to it I'd love to see the movie. It looks so good. I think just the costumes alone would make it worth seeing. Write later! :)

  2. Garden Girl is really pretty! I love the colors and your stitching is so perfect as always!! I may have to check out the Net Library. My DH and I don't like most of the same things on TV and listening to an audio book while he watches his Law and Order or Sci Fi things would really be the answer for me. I love reading books but don't as I either watch tv and stitch. I could have this kind of thing too. Sounds great! Debby

  3. The needlework woman in this piece is really darling! I think she would look really cute with some colonial type dolls. I saw a really cute one with some quaker type stitching on her apron here:

so endearing and then you probably have seen that one called cooking, boiling, roasting and broiling...or something like that...it was the cutest apron for a doll, it may have been a carriage house sampling design but not sure.

  4. You just have the same rotation I do. When I get tired of one pattern I rotate to another. LOL If I had to count hours, I would be appalled at how much time I spend stitching. If I had to rotate by days, some patterns might never get stitched at all. What if you had a pattern that had to be stitched on the day you were driving to South Carolina? I work much better with yearly goals and trying to give priorities to WiPs.

  6. You're doing so well with Garden Girl. What a cute one. I'm so happy you've got My Needle's Work, Nicole. I love this. I'm hoping to get mine soon. I was thinking of stitching this one next too. Maybe we could stitch this together? Then again, I think you would get yours done a lot quicker than me :) Don't worry about your rotations girl, needlework's supposed to be fun. Just do what you want, when you want. Go for it!

  7. Garden Girl is looking really good - I find rotations really hard to stick to too :) The Other Boleyn Girl is a really good book - I'm looking forward to the film too!
